I had an NDE from a surgery . I was given a standard dose of 30mcg of Fentanyl intra-operative with morphine and whatever else. I was having my breathing tube removed and my oxygen desaturated immediately and they essentially ran a code and had to put me back on a ventilator . I had such a beautiful experience which was peaceful and loving . Saw family that had passed and was told i could not stay .. saw my Mom and she looked really good . Kind of like what she looked like when I was a kid. It was like a sky scene with clouds and it was Easter egg colours sort of sunset kind of scene. I don’t remember much of it but I remember being told I have to go back as my job is not done here . I remember a feeling like a falling sensation and a jolt back into my body. I felt pain immediately from my surgery and a nurse driving her knuckles into my chest yelling my name. I woke up and admittedly was teary eyed I came back . I was supposed to be in a surgery that was scheduled for 1 hr and 45 mins which was to include my time in recovery. I ended up being there for almost 8 hrs and created quite a bit of work for the staff . I have never looked at life the same since in a good way .

Wow! The wonders of modern medicine! Of a hundred thousand generations you belong to one of the two generations that have had modern medicine available, and they saved your life. The things doctors can do today would be counted as magic/witchcraft just a single century ago! Glad you are still here

I had a similar experience, minus the pyrotechnics of an NDE. A mystical experience in which the nature of reality/Consciousness became clear and plain. An "awakening". My wife was in a coma, two young kids. I was sobbinb hysterically with my mom and heard "it will all be okay" in my head...and I snapped. I cried SO much harder....but in peace. I saw so clearly what's going on here. My mom thought I was crazy, and now says "you saw Him. You made direct contact that night." She half right....I saw IT. The totality. Unity.

I've got news, just going under anesthesia can send you to the other side, i had a short distressfull NDE while getting a pacemaker put in and was given 6 times the amount of anesthesia i should have had, due to still being aware of the operation being performed on me, and i can guarantee once you have an NDE you know it and you don't need confirmation by a physician at all, you can tell it's not a hallucination or any other type of medicine or medical procedure causing it, it's like you wake up into the real reality, and believe me you know it for 100% as much as you will ever know anything on this side, i cant forget it and it's still like it happened yesterday.

But, despite feeling super real, NDEs involve mutually inconsistent information. For example, some NDEs have a Christian theme with confirmation of eternal torture, while some NDEs involve reassurance that there is no eternal torture and religious belief doesn't matter. They can't all be entirely real and accurate if they are mutually inconsistent.
@saltyark756413 күн бұрын
@@JonathanDLynch The thought is that the hellish type NDE’s are just used as a form to nudge the person in a better direction in life and people who report those type seem to be better off for having had that type of experience. So they aren’t super contradictory if they come back from an NDE being more loving and compassionate no matter the type they have.
@kudoistaАй бұрын
Thank you for asking the question about cross cultural and religious differences. That is something I was particularly curious about and haven’t been able to find much information on. Sadly there are a lot of Christian channels and apologists who are spreading misinformation about NDE’s. Making up fictitious stories about how people from other religions all meet Jesus or have Hellish experiences etc. It is so important that the information from nonbiased studies such as these done by Dr. Long can be made available to the public so that people can know the truth.

I've taken many psychedelics throughout my life, and I'm almost 69 years old now. On large doses of LSD, Psilocybin and DMT, I've experienced being out of my body, seeing and feeling a beautiful light that also possesses wisdom and unconditional love, communicating telepathically with the Light and deceased loved ones and friends who I was with while tripping, hyper real and ecstatically beautiful surroundings, the Eye of God/Creator, the beautiful flowing rivers of energy, of Source Consciousness .... There is no such thing as "hallucinations." Rather, it's seeing more - beyond our normally limited brain's sensory perception. However, it only showed me a glimpse of what it's like to taste a piece of Heaven/Afterlife but probably pales in the face of an NDE. (They should change the acronym to After Death Experiences - ADE) It feels more real than this reality so Heaven could be a higher dimension?
@infiniteworfare5089Ай бұрын
there are times when my perceptions to life are much stronger than others. it changes from time to time. during out of body experiences, are you able to see stuff around you that while being out of your body? are you able to go to another room and read from the title of a book and recall the exact title after your back in your body? i think these experiences are being generated in the brain similar to how dreams are generated at night. i know it can look very realistic but i have also had very realistic dreams. it doesn't make sense for consciousness to leave the body and go somewhere else. it has to be within the brain. i think after you die, you decompose and then become reincarnated as another organisms depending on where your decomposed brain conscious cells/matter transfer to ( which is basically reincarnation ).

That's because he didn't die. All of these near death tales are ridiculous because none of them died. God exists, the afterlife exists, but nobody experiences them just because they got close to dying. Your soul doesn't do a quick vacation, your soul doesn't leave and then get sucked back if you get resuscitated. You only die if you actually die and when it comes to the afterlife, nobody is resurrected until the day of judgement. So even if they got near death or died, they'd still be dead until that time.
@docsalas1203Ай бұрын
@@KevinGeneFeldmanyou know you make a good point. A near death experience is not dead and I never really thought about that. This is probably more of a philosophical term. Being human is quite complicated yet simple and death is something we will truly never know until we get there and by that time it will be too late to talk about it.
@KevinGeneFeldmanАй бұрын
@@docsalas1203 Have you ever considered who it is that is experiencing your brain? Who possesses the presence within the brain to observe the brain? For example, my body could have been born and lived the same life, but not be me. What would be me could still be non-existent or a different person, so how are we ourselves? This is what it is to be given life by God, we are given minds, mind is distinct from the brain. Brain is like a processor, the mind is the presence that observes it. You know, the entire universe just suddenly exists and its perfectly tuned to a mathematical degree thats incomprehensible, such that the slightest deviation of any factor, like the speed of light or gravity or the space between atoms, the universe implodes. Then there's a solar system, then theres a planet, then we just spawn into it at an arbitrary time and people have the audacity to say, theres nothing behind this, theres no reason, it just is and mock you. The fact that God exists is so in your face I'm in disbelief there are any atheists at all. Once you know God exists you examine the claims of Gods and when you do that you'll find the God of the Bible distinct, unique and the only one with overwhelming historical evidence. Do you know the Bible says the Earth is suspended in nothing? That would make no sense to anyone back then, but its true, we are just hanging in an endless dimension of nothing.

Hey Bryan, if God exists and he does, that God would reveal himself to creation and our purpose for him. Its not enough to believe there is a God and let your life expire, you need to find that God and do what he says. I'm saying there is no generic God who creates us, says nothing and will reveal the grand truth to us after we die, you can't wait. I heard you say you weren't becoming a Christian, that's your big mistake. Since you know God exists, you need to do one more thing, put your full faith in Jesus as the one who died so that you would not die. Our lives obviously have a point, that's why we have morality, there is a purpose in our actions, it's not a secret test, it's been revealed what we have to do and why. On a matter this important, you can't have a wait and see attitude.

@kudoistaАй бұрын
So don’t think for yourself. Just follow our cult belief system and don’t question its idiotic principles. Oh and don’t listen to any evidence from people who have actually experienced the afterlife. All because of what the Bible says. A book that was concocted from various questionable sources with contradictory accounts of the events they are talking about. Events which happened long before they recorded them and in many cases were passed on by word of mouth. Then they were further altered by following generations and splintered into several sects who picked and chose which books to include and exclude and how to interpret them according to their own views. Yeah I don’t think so. Studies such as this one proves that Christianity and other religions are just superstitious mythologies that paint and an inaccurate picture of the afterlife and God. Unfortunately so many like you have been brainwashed by indoctrination and cannot accept the truth.
