I have so much pain in my hips/low back/ upper left side of back. The pain gets so bad it hurts to breath on that side. I also have a kind of bump that's hard starting to be noticeable...kinda oval shape about the size of my hand. My curve is at 55 and in the lower lumbar. I'm at a loss as to how to cope lately with pain. I didn't know breathing could be affected by scoliosis. Very informative video. Thankyou

Could scoliosis affect the the bladder making itoveractive with the extreme pain when urinating, also i am seriously constipated with hard pebble like faeces, could scoliosis contribute to this problem?

I am 77, female, and have lost 3 inches in height rather quickly. I have a mild Scoliosis also. I have had shortness of breath for about 3 years. I have had all the Cardiac and Pulmonary testing and they were OK. I have lost 15 lbs. since this began. The SOB is NOT exertion induced, it is there much of the time. After 20 minutes on a Treadmill, I start to sense more SOB which is likely from the workout.......Is it possible that this loss of 3 inches in my spine has offset the symmetry of my rib cage and has affected some part of my breathing ? If so: there is nothing that can be done, correct?

I totally understand. I have hyperkyphosis and I have a feeling like someone is sitting in my chest, shirt of breath all the time, O2 sats are low, I feel tired and dizzy all the time. My daughter is 13 years old and she is turning 14 years in September her curve is 50 degrees upper and 40 degrees lower and her rasaier 0 . According to the surgeon she stops growing. She is very flexible but doctor says surgery is the only good option she has , I do t know what is the best destiom we are scared
