I feel an overwhelming sense of pain and frustration regarding my family. ​They are aware that I have scoliosis, yet they have not even considered taking me to a chiropractor or any professional who could help with my condition.​ When I am unwell, they only speak about my struggles but never take any meaningful action. It sometimes feels as though they only care if my condition becomes visibly noticeable or if something truly tragic were to happen to me. The lack of support and understanding from them makes my situation even more difficult to bear. I long for the compassion and care that every person deserves, especially from those closest to them. It is heartbreaking to feel neglected in such a vulnerable time of my life.

I just found out yesterday I have bone spurs in my neck but I have no pain in my neck. I’ve had 11 years of chronic pain in my lumber. Really bad pain in my upper back radiating to my right shoulder and it’s chronic. I think it’s a disc bulge but I can’t see my doctor for two more weeks and I suffer everyday at work. I’m so scared I’ll have to feel this way for the rest of my life. I can't do any chiropractic adjustments since it is dangerous because of my spinal hypermobility. My curve is on the edge between mild and moderate, but the pain is intense. The standard exercises don't work for my body because of the connective tissue being weak, and the curve is too slight for bracing or surgery to be viable options. It's damn frustrating.

Oh no, been sleeping on my stomach my whole life. 🤦‍♀When I was 12 the school nurse thought I had scoliosis, so my mom took me to the doctor and he he said I didn't have it. He didn't really even examine me. Decades later we find out I do have it. I could of had it corrected as a child or at least taken better care of myself.

i’m 17, 18 in around a month and i have a severe mix of lordosis, kyphosis and scoliosis. i am from wales and unable to travel abroad. nobody here, not even great ormond street will help me. my life seems pointless at this point as i am relying on medications to keep me in somewhat less pain. 19 medications daily and i am fairly hopeless as i seem to collect more as time goes on. the worst part of my curve is near my brain stem, hence why nobody dares to touch me. i feel like a burden to the healthcare system as my heart is struggling to work without being prompted, my lungs are collapsing slowly due to the pressure from my spine and ribs, everything is constantly in pain and i’m just being tossed around different healthcare workers for the same thing each time. what’s the point of going ahead with it seeing as nobody can help me and i get told the same pointless things time and time again.

Doc, I'm 73, male, retired - I have Dextroscoliosis at about 20+ degrees Lumbar , with a 5 Degree Throacic curve. One thing I don't see mentioned here and at other sites is that with Scoliosis, it shopuld be stressed that not only is there a Curvature but also he Spine "Twists" as well!! I have had a leg length discepancy of 1" shorter right leg since 1966 at age 15 - sustaining a fractured femur playing HS Football. The Ortho dr at that time was "surprised" at the LLD after the body cast came off (After 3 Months - man that was No Picnic). He did ot recommend to do anything to my recollection, my parents never thought to ask. Left Unadressed - after 20 years or so , the lower back aches Started - particularly when bending over Or Slow walking like strolling. A Chiropractor visited at that time circa 1986, said as soon as I entered the office ...."You have Problems .....and You will have much more in the future". Man, was he right!!! The Spinal issues and conditions evolved over the years traversing up the spine to the top of my Cervical Spine. I have Spinal Spondyliosis, Facet Joint arthritis, multiple sites of mild to moderate stenosis, DDD throuiughout (severly in a number of vertebrea), SI Joint Inflammation for Years, OA in both knees (the right , the shorter leg, is Bone on Bone), OA in tthe Hips (the left is worse). Soon after my first Cervical MRI was done in 2012, I have pursued personal research into understanding these maladies, and treatments. The 1st MRI also revealed that I have a More Narrow Than Normal Spinal Canal!. Now, for years, I suffer with daily chronic pains (some days better, some days pretty bad), and the terrible Stiffness in my entire Body! I have Tinnuitus, Chronic Sinusitis, ear & eye pains, Lightheadedness, Occipital / Tempral tension headaches, Costochondritis, even IBS (lots of stomach issues associated with IBS / Digestive issues) , and Bouts of Bladder / Bowel Incontinence......IMHO, all created by the Cervical Instabilities.1 of the 6 Neuro/ spinal surgeons that I consulted in 2018 -2019 looking for Relief, Dr. Saad Chaudry from Mt. Sinai Hosital, told me that many doctors count Scoliosis "short" ..... It can (and in my case I am convinced ) that will affect specific Organs in the body as the Central and Peripheral Nervous systems are affected by the pinched nerves. I have No Reflexes, and lots of Anxiety, the Cervical Instabilities can and does affect the Vagus Nerve. THX for this info. How Do I get to try these type braces. I need help. There are days that I feel like my Spine is Collapsing !!

Someone should teach this to doctors. They're telling me it can't be scoliosis because I would have felt pain my whole life. I have had pain on and off and now I'm 49 and really struggling with pain. All they need to do is open their eyes and actually look at my body and they will see it. They don't look though, they only have me lay down and press my legs up against their hand pressing down. I'm not sure what that is for, but they say I just have mild arthritis. I probably do have arthritis, but I'm certain I also have scoliosis. This morning when I was getting in the shower I noticed how if I were to draw a line straight up from my belly button, the line doesn't go in the middle of my chest. It goes to the middle of my right breast. I don't know where to get help.
