they didn't even explain how kuai liang got his scorpion powers. If there is no mortal kombat in this new era then who killed him? How did he come back from netherrealm? As I understand they did not think much about scorpion. Otherwise in the story mode they would explain his story just like how raiden got his electric powers? They just gave him a average moveset and made his fighting style slower than the others. That's why he is boring.

@dartawnasailo4449 Mk11 Scorpion had some sting variety like overhead back 3, pretty long low string but overall, I don't think that he was way better than this iterion. Scorps teleport is better in this game cause you can make it absolutely safe when you are using it like Havier and you have a cancel, also his spear is faster and may be a mid and you have spin that you can also make safe. I think his only problem in this game is string variety)

I'm not sure the skill of these players but the Scorpion dropped a lot of combos. I find that scorpions that rely on the boring chip damage to be less skilled than others with the actual character. Though the ones that don't use the chip damage garbage may be less skilled as a whole at the game.

Top 8 nerves, makes sense to drop some stuff, he doesn't drop anything online. Scorpion is one of if not the worst character in the game, he has no mix ups so he can't open you up, chip damage and neutral is all he's decent at. If you're not doing that you're just going to get punished and stomped by damn near everyone on the roster, blame NRS for making him shit

@@firulice7000 I agree in theory but relying on the chip actually causes you to miss combos. When you open up with that knee and immediately go into the chip, if the knee hits you could have launched and gone into a combo. The people that heavily rely on the chip don't get that combo 99% of the time cause they're not even thinking about the launch. They are ok with getting that small piece of damage and to me that causes more losses than the chip gets wins. You can only miss so many opportunities in a match and still win... especially with scorpion. Maybe he's changed his playstyle but I don't see avirk spamming the chip over and over again and to me, he is by far the best scorpion I've seen. I haven't watched him lately so maybe he's changed his ways.

I dissagre. No one got hit by that knee mid lol, it's 12 frame and the range it's short af, and his follow up attack it's a high, easily one of the worst mid in the game. So most of the time ppl won't bother enough to hit confirm of that knee since everyone would see it from a miles away and ducking on follow up hit, try to hit confirm that just doesn't make too much sense since 99% of the time it will be blocked, that 1% chance just doesn't worth the braincell putting in since u already sweat more than your opponent if u play scorpion

@@gemcrim5904you can’t hit confirm the f3 so if you’re just doing the follow up everytime you’re gonna get ducked and punished.

I know if you can't hit it you can get ducked but people hit it all the time. It's no different than a poke... If you hit the knee, convert. People don't even try because they are too focused on the chip.
