Well no… it can’t tell the time 😂 also they are the same price as a smart watch so might as well just get the smart watch

Most people already have a watch.. Many people gonna prefer the range of choice that exists in the world of watches.. Many people gonna prefer to look normal.. Many people really just need a quiet way of health tracking.

I guess if you want to wear an expensive Rolex but still want health tracking, the smart ring is the way to go.

I’ve never worn a ring and hadn’t seriously considered it - until now. After watching your video, Mike, I’m now considering my options. Thanks again for another great video!
@sebas_ag_fit2 ай бұрын
great video very informative, i was debating on getting a smart ring and now it makes the most sense to track during sleep and more subtle. Plus, i hate the idea of having to charge something every day so that’s a huge plus👌
@speedracer91322 ай бұрын
You should have compared using a well known and reliably accurate tracker like a chest strap while you wear the ring and compare the results. The ring is so inaccurate, it shouldn’t even be legal for Samsung to sell it
@MikeOBrienMedia2 ай бұрын
Good point. Perhaps I should compare smart watches vs smart rings vs something like the WHOOP worn on my bicep
@davidmccarthy60612 ай бұрын
But everyone should know it isn't a medical-grade device but is useful for your general health trends that you otherwise have no clue about. Nobody will wear a chest strap 24x7.

Hey Mike, thank you very much for this video. Oddly enough, I had not considered getting a smart ring, but after watching your comparison report I’m really considering it. Once again, thanks for making this video and sharing it with us!

Thanks for watching! What are you trying to track specifically?
@robertq554032 ай бұрын
@ I can’t sleep with my watch because it bothers me and also that is when I charge it. But I always wanted to check how I slept; also I don’t check my steps and other numbers my watch collects regularly so I do without the notifications. Not sure if that makes sense.
@davidmccarthy60612 ай бұрын
I can see a benefit to both devices but I'll be smartwatch only. Went 20 years without any watch since I typically always know the time, but a watch gives me access to weather, simple texting, and other things that I would need to dig the phone out of my pocket for.

I highly doubt it, but it will create a whole new market. I think one reason watches will win over rings is watches are basically mini phones while rings are mostly just health trackers. But rings will become more popular as they are more accurate than watches and with companies like Samsung making them, they may become mainstream.

I've had two different ones smartrings and many different smart watches. Rings are more comfortable but so poor to use. Can't use those on gym, you cant use those for anything else than measure you sleep, pulse etc. And you always need phone to see anything what's going on on that ring. Those are just expensive toys what work with phone. Smartwatch are so much better, you can use these alone, can use on gym etc.

In many cases, you're definitely right. It's still an interesting thought exercise in my opinion though. I hope rings can get things like NFC payments in the future
