thanks for the walkthrough. How do I create a workflow to move a row to another location on the same sheet? For example, i have 3 high level categories for High, Medium, and Low priority tasks. If a high priority task is added to the sheet via a form, how do I move that task row to nest underneath the High Priority category? Hope that made sense

Thank you this was super helpful! Do you happen to know if you can customize the "from" field beyond the options that are provided? Ideally I would like the email to be on behalf of the user who filled out the form.

Can a form submission be used as a trigger to send the automated response? ie.. a Form is submitted, a new line is added to the sheet, and it sends a notification containing the info on the form.

Hi Randy. I believe so yes, so long as a notification is set up on the sheet (for new rows) prior to the form submission.

Nope, not working. I have a Smartsheet form, that requires an email. This gets auto populated to Smartsheet. I have an automation that should trigger to send an email to the person who filled out the form when a status is changed. They are not getting any emails. The process works when tested with my email, but not anyone else. Does this process not work unless the person being emailed is added to the Smartsheet? I can't add everyone as my sheet will be to collect public data and reply back only if certain conditions are me that change a status. ??

Sounds like an issue with the setup. Unless the emails are being sent to spam, which is worth checking but sounds unlikely if multiple people are failing to receive...

Am I correct that there is a limit of 20 triggers? I need to be notified if 25 fields (my apologies for the incorrect vocabulary) are changed. I don't want to be notified of ALL changes to avoid an avalanche of emails.

Hi Matt. If I understand correctly. You could create a contact type column in the sheet which would create another available field for the form. Enter the email address in this field when submitting the form, then set up an alert automation to send whenever a new row is added to the email address listed in this new column.
