They’re surprised that Olimar has a family, this is the difference between people who have only seen him in Smash versus actually played a Pikmin game, he mentions/writes about them in basically every game. Even just in the opening cutscene of Pikmin 2 he mentions he brought the bottle cap back as a souvenir for his son.

*SPOILERS FOR VIDEO AND FF7 ADVENT CHILDREN* Just to explain the Cloud one, Geostigma is from Final Fantasy Advent Children and is basically a pox caused by the Jenova genes infecting some of the Lifestream. It's why Cloud has the sleeve over his arm in a couple of his Advent Children alts, that outfit is him covering up that his arm is essentially going through necrosis while they try to find a cure for it.

It's mentioned in the movie, Advent Children. Hard to explain, but it has to do with Jenova and Sephiroth reborn. Edit: Cloud's illness is more critical there, that's why it has more emphasis.

It's not in og ff7. Just in advent children but it is the entire plot of that movie so its fairly well known. But if you were looking for a trace of it in ff7 the numbered sephiroth remnants( black hooded guys) probably have geo stigma. But I think it's a symptom of life stream sickness from when Holy had to come out of the planets core to stop meteor. And sephiroth leaving parts of himself in the life stream from when he was knocked in there by cloud in the nibelheim reactor.
