Snorlax was the undisputed BEST Pokemon in Gen 2 OU. But could it still beat Crystal version with 0 DVs/0 IVs and the worst possible moves? Let's start with the Johto section of the game!

Scoring:
-Pokemon Starts with a score of 100 points.
-Minus 0.1 points per reset (10 resets = 1 point)
-Minus 0.25 points per optional battle (4 optional battles = 1 point)
-Minus 1 point per TM (Excluding Broken TMs)
-Minus 10 points per Broken TM (Double Team, Substitute, Mimic, Rest, Bide, Toxic)

Process:
Every Pokemon goes through 3 separate tests:
1. Minimum Battles
2. No TMs
3. Optimization for score on the tier-list
Rules:
1. 0 DVs (Worst Possible Stats).
2. No Items in Battle.
3. No Stat Boosting Vitamins (HP Up, Carbos, Iron, Calcium, Protein).
4. No other Pokemon in battle (HM Mules allowed outside of battle).
5. Timer STARTS when I select New Game, and ENDS when the Champion is defeated.
6. Required Battles are the 65 battles that cannot be avoided without glitches (See Jrose11's original Minimum Battles video.
7. Pokedoll Glitch is a glitch and therefore banned.
8. Brock Through Walls is banned.
9. Badge Boost Glitch is allowed without restrictions.
10. Save states for routing and catching HM Pokemon only.
11. No wild encounters, except to catch HM pokemon.

It can beat it with Mud-Slap, Lick, Leech Life and and Rock Smash. So I'm intrigued which moves you go for here. Actually a challenge I've done before so hyped for this run. Oh damn... No wild Mon grinding. You have my respect already :/ and with Splash. That shoddy bit of regen leech life gave was a nice, feeling of, benefit.

Yeah, 16 gyms plus the long rocket story is a grind every time 😂. And so many fights were challenging here, that there weren't many parts to cut out as fluff

When a Scyther comes along, you must Lick it Nothing else will get you far, you must Lick it Don't think about it too long, you must Lick it Just Lick it, Lick it good! BTW, when you were Leech Seeded, you should have switched to Rock Smash and tried for a defense drop, that would've made it possible to overpower the Leech Seed with Lick after 1 or 2 drops. Did not think that Red was going to be possible, goes to show what the power of high HP and Leftovers will get you.

Crack that Lick? Yeah, I had been struggling with Leech Seed not just there, but in the Will fight as well. Suffice it to say, I now hate Leech Seed with a passion 😂 Leftovers are truly OP

I think reason why picked splash on snorlax on all things . As I am sure everyone aware of scenes where having bad dream end up pool water . Your head effectively splash as move your head left to right . I image it's reference to this. Or least that's what I think

Perhaps. I thought it might be the idea of Snorlax making the biggest splash when it hits the pool, but once all the water splashes out I hit my head on the bottom of the pool and have to get rushed to the hospital, so splash basically means ending the fight and going back to the Pokemon Center 😂

Before getting past the intro. It depends on what you deem successful. I would imagine it is possible with those moves to get 16 badges and beat the elite 4. Not sure you can do Red. Flying pokemon will be difficult, so basically, Falkner and later Lance are going to require you to grind.

Yeah, I would say that is a fair assessment. When I did a similar run I. Gen 1 with Mewtwo it took level 87 to beat the Elite Four and Champion, so I suppose anything less than that is really good on my eyes and anything worse than that is pretty bad

So I want to make a comment about that very last fight: ~Spoiler break~ Red is programmed to only use his two Full Restores on Pikachu, so if you happen to knock Pikachu out before he uses either, while he is programmed to have two, he will not use them on anyone else. The video "Pokémon Crystal AI Tournament - Scientifically Ranking the Pokémon Crystal Trainers" by pimanrules actually goes into that, and also goes into how Red is absolutely dominant among all trainers in the game.

Wow,that was some epic journey for Exlax . I bet that the onter Exlaxes were cheering it form the sidelines, especially with in the Lance fight. 😂😂😂 I thought that after the Jhoto portion,that Exlax couldn't finish the run,if it was straggling with Lance. But I'm glad that Exlax was saved by the Leftovers.😂😂😂 Poo runs are the best. 😁

Leftovers are incredibly broken I am convinced Leftovers is what pushes Snorlax into OP territory. If we had started with Leftovers, Johto would have been much easier

@@GSCPokemonChallenges Yup, exactly. Leftovers are a S tier held item. Basically if you're using protect once in a while you can get a free heal.😊 Which is super broken, especially with a snorlax .

Yeah, protect strats sound OP as hell with Leftovers. I am thinking of my setup for GodKern right now, and Leftovers, Protect, Spore, Toxic, and one attacking move seems good enough to beat just about anything. Basically just needs coverage for Steel/Poison and it should be unstoppable.

Red is absolutely tough, but I think Leftovers helps a ton in that section. It's the Johto section without leftovers that is super hard.... And opponents that use Leech Seed!

I don't disagree, but if you watch the live commentary, I only got poisoned there once. I was losing the rest of the time to the buildup of Fury Cutter, which accounted for far more resets
