Hello, your videos are really helpful in understanding important concepts. One question I had in this topic was that if sound cannot travel through outer space, then how is it that we can hear the different sounds in the universe recorded by the special devices of NASA or ISRO? Please clarify. Thank you.

When we are using alarm clock could we albe to hear the sound if we keep out ear under the table.. cause sound could travel through solid..?!🙁
@svps82714 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you're correct. Sound does travel through a solid. The vibrations of the alarm clock makes the molecules of table to also vibrate, which makes you hear the sound even under the table.

Sound doesn't travel through spaces without any matter. This explains why you can't hear explosions in space. This can be proven in many different ways.

Why light does not need medium?
@mohamedelghuwael74356 жыл бұрын
The sound vibrates the particles to get to our ears. But if there is no medium then there are no particles to vibrate and get to our ears. Light is a wave that moves by itself and doesnt need anything. The sound is just particles moving. But light is an actual thing.

Why does light need a medium to travel
@satyapomba7416 жыл бұрын

@muntee335 жыл бұрын
What about a FIELD as a medium? Only takes one point of charge to infer a field... Two points (possibly only one but we talk about 2 for simplicity) of charge create a field capable of supporting a standing wave and all the harmonics within it. So from where i see it, this basic field already instills a ‘medium’ for, maybe not sound, (which can be attributed to any wave in relation to Wave Amplitude and frequency/eg-sound of stars) but definitely EM, or transverse in general I guess, Hertzian waves. >the amplitude/magnitude variations of a point (bar nodes) gives a mechanism for representation of pressure (or potential) as a value within a transverse wave structure.) Such pressure changes can cause an electro static charge variation in some molecules such as Quarts so i furthermore fail to see how ‘sound’ cannot be detected and interpreted in a vacuum. The reason we cannot hear it with out ears is due to the pressure differential between the partial vacuum and the gas out side the glass. Its about energy transfer, not the medium as such. Eg, if the glass was filled with helium, it would also be Barely audible (amplitude) outside the glass even though inside the glass would contain the same amplitude of sound but at a higher frequency, or pitch. Please correct my miss assumptions. With supporting mathematics or links for me to cross reference. Specifically, the rate of induction different mediums and/or states of medium are inherent of. Sorry for poor grammar and punctuation, on unfamiliar mobile device and am slightly lazy. Thanks.

Why sound can't travel through vacuum?
@usama579266 жыл бұрын
watch the previous video
@jmuthu80906 жыл бұрын
Because it need medium to propagate or travel ie it must need atom to vibrate and produce sound....so vacuum has no particle which means no vibration so no sound.
