There's going to come a point where some are forced to admit being upside down in silver. Otherwise: A major life crisis can mean eating $2-3/oz. My favorite example of 'new math' popped up a few weeks ago. Someone explained that dealer premiums are irrelevant because they fluctuate with silver price.

Hey Shadow Stack. You have made many good points regarding to the silver. As of today, my entire silver portfolio has more than 20% loss and it is the worse performer in my entire PM portfolio. My data correlate with your description well. I have not seen any buyers including myself are getting rich from buying silver. The only group of people are getting rich are the dealers and sellers. Fortunately, majority of my PM purchases were from the gain in equity market. I have already written off my entire silver portfolio off as a loss and move on (No more silver for me except numismatic coins like Peace Dollar and Meiji Yen). Congrats on your big win from crypto. I have not sold any of ether. Looks like the sentiment for crypto is back. Hope we can see a big spike in few months for better gain. Depends on what you define as rich, to someone living in the 3rd world having 5k in silver you might be considered rich, someone in the west with 100K in silver would not be considered rich. So it depends on your perspective. I save for the fun of it, and it is one of the few hobbies that preserve your wealth. I don't look at silver/Gold as getting super rich from, I just want to have a little protection(peace of Mind) just in case we have a big stock market crash or a large world war. If you look at the past we are over do for both. If the stock market crashes as it did back in 2008-9, it did come back slowly over the next few years. The government always comes up with a new money system that they will use and we always follow along. S/G is just to get us thru the time between the last crash and the new beginning without putting us without a roof over our heads or food on the table. Just my thoughts on the matter

I think the purpose of silver and gold are not to make you rich but to maintain or protect your wealth. Our governments print money but they can not print silver and gold. The purchasing power of our fiat currency goes up and down, due to manipulation and other factors with the world economy, but over-all, all fiat currencies are on a downward trend in purchasing power. We will eventually need to convert back to a currency in order to purchase goods and services and hopefully when that time comes, we will be able to profit. The main concern one should have would be how long can you stay in the game before you have to convert back to cash. We all know silver and gold are going to rise in value, but we don't know when it will happen. Will it be within our lifetime? We don't know and should not worry about things we can't control. We should stop thinking about trying to profit on silver and gold and just enjoy stacking. This is a hobby where your collection really has intrinsic value and I think of my stack as forced retirement savings. I intend to liquidate very slowly during my retirement years to supplement my income. My family has instructions to do the same...liquidate very slowly...avoid the temptation of cashing it all out and possibly getting scammed by a dealer or losing the load in the shipping process. Convert to fiat, only as needed because the purpose of stacking all of this was to avoid fiat in the first place, so why convert it all back at once and be stuck with fiat again? The only purpose I can see to cashing it all out at once would be to buy another hard asset....like real estate, but then again, you risk getting scammed. I find it best to think of the stack as retirement funds and pass down what I have left when I die and have my family liquidate slowly as I did.

But the financial system is on the edge of collapse. Forget Warren Buffet.
@maguscrowley46455 жыл бұрын
@@mysterybuyer3738 The imminent financial collapse has been predicted for decades. Markets are cyclical. Nations rise and fall, economies expand and collapse, for every bull market a bear creeps in the shadows. If a SHTF situation unfolds, I doubt that having silver or gold will help much. Many of the Jews in Nazi Germany had silver and gold, but it did not do them any good. Hitler just took their shit. You cannot eat silver. However, it sure is pretty. That is why I stack. ,🤔

Dude you can take the gloves off your not handling collectors value stuff it's just intrinsic metal weight value you have there. Condition means nothing plus most of the silver you're touching is in plastic.

Maybe there's another reason for the gloves. Being a brother here inna Babylon I can relate.

I am stacking physical silver for two reasons. 1. As a hedge against inflation. 2. Another asset as issuance. To answer your question, if you can get rich from stacking silver? I think there are only two ways to get rich from physical silver. 1. Finding and selling rare silver coins. 2. Making and selling your own silver coins or rounds.
