Can Stellar Blade Be More Than A Nier Automata Clone? (And Is Eve TOO SEXY?)

My thoughts on the Stellar Blade demo. Spoilers for the demo, obviously. The game's openly inspired by Nier Automata, but will it be different enough to stand on it's own? Also, Eve's beauty is stirring up some controversy around the game, but is it really all that controversial, or is it rather that people WANT this to be a controversial game? Big old anime butts, those are good for everyone :)

The SB demo was definitely encouraging. I really doubt this game's story will match Nier. Not because I expect the story to be bad but because Nier's story is just that good. Few games would measure up. That being said, I definitely prefer the combat system of SB over Nier. I like the back-and-forth with enemies over the power fantasy style combat of DMC/Bayo/Nier. They are still fun but SB for me hits the sweet spot between a souslike and DMC-style combat. The boss challenge was extremely fun once I sank my teeth into the extra abilities you get and started using them in combat. And I fully agree this game is for everyone to enjoy. We're all responsible adults and can tell fact from fiction.

As long as gameplay is fun and story is enjoyable, it's worth playing yea? :) Sometimes I wonder if those other critics jumping on the complain train about how a game looks have... actually played said game yet or are even in its intended playerbase? ^^ (Tho I'm just a retro gamer / oldskool anime nerd, what do I know about modern gaming audiences' tastes hehe XD)

Oh for sure, I think it's mostly just noise to generate clicks and views. Eve isn't any more sexed up than like a dead or alive girl or something like that but people are quick to get outraged

Will depend on the story :) The rest is 👍 The Tachy DLC will be ...awesome 😅😊 better😅 As for the jiggly... many purchase Nier because 2B..ooty 😂 and were amazed by the masterpiece of it all 😄 Its fine😊

Yeah I'm guessing we'll see Tachy again! True I'm sure some people get into Nier for the character design but end up getting hooked on the premise.

It is inaccurate to call this game a NieR clone. Stellar Blade takes some inspiration from it mind you, but the two are entirely different and feel completely different to play. SB feels NOTHING like playing NieR aside from the space theme. The combat feels different and the story looks like it will go in a different direction. I'd go as far as to say feel-wise, Stellar Blade feels more like playing Final Fantasy than it does NieR.
