If it can recreate the famous lost Skrillex growl from 2010 I’m gonna be very impressed.

Oh its in a bunch of old Skrillex songs. You can hear it really well in the "In For The KIll" remix at 1:36 it has a very low format and corpus artifacts. @@DeadzoneMusic

The power of this isn't so much that it copies sounds (it does copy a lot of things pretty well) but that it can come up with things you wouldn't have thought of. It doesn't handle some complex overly processed sounds well, but it makes its own complex sounds in response. One lone sample can yield a half dozen usable presets easy. I've been raiding my sample collection for the past month, and ripping stems with Hit N Mix, isolating sounds, and feeding them into Synplant.

Hell yeah! Great vid guys. I feel Synplant right now is more a tool to learn how the synth is built, essentially cutting the guessing phase when you reference.

This is incredible, and just to think that this is the beginning of it. Something we have to keep in mind and being someone who has been very involved in ia and playing with neural networks, is that for the moment they have their work, but the more users insert audio the more this network will learn and easily in several months we can see much better results than this.

I mean stuff like the skrillex sample probably has a bunch of effects as well, and a few of the results could probably give the right sound with some eq and distortion afterwards. It’s not like traditional non AI sound design stops after the VCA.

hi just import a whole folder of samples by selecting all the files into logics quick sampler. right click and click retune. it shows u the exact tuning. then just click the arrow by the name of the sample and u can repeat this for each sample. probably a lot faster of a workflow then synplant with the arrow tool and imo the tuning is on point in logics sampler.

what i learned with my first experiments : Synplant 2 is very good to recreate sound without a lot of crazy modulations. Plucks, bass stabs, keys etc are remade almost perfectly. Dont try to recreate a proper heavy bass modulated with 2 filters, 4 LFOs and a bunch of distortions in it, it just dont do the trick
