Can't afford Milwaukee Packout ? Try Husky Connect rolling toolbox storage system from home depot.
I was looking to get a rolling toolbox storage system and couldn't justify spending the money to get into Milwaukees Packout system. Most of my work is done in the shop. I looked for a more economical alternative and found it at Home Depot. The Husky Connect 22 inch system.
In this video I show you the three piece system plus an additional piece I purchased. I show you its features and give you my first impression.
I also go online and show what other options are available for this rolling tool storage system.
Stay tuned until the end of the video. I give thanks to one of my new KZbin subscribers.

Totally in agreement. The basic three piece rolling set plus the two drawer unit and two layer cantilever parts bin is very affordable and holds everything I ever need to roll out with. If I need a two or three foot lift I stand on some of the stack ... Still no breaks. On any packout system you can strap your fav tool bag on top, even non-matching, to get to the work location. Or you can build a tool wall inside one of the boxes. The Husky connect system is a few inches narrower than all other systems so it fits better in cars and PU's with narrow back seats where you can lock it in. IMHO this system is highly under- rated.

I bought them and used them a few times 👍👍. My Rigid system , super durable, but unstacking them in an apartment made me try the Husky Connect . Unfortunately, on the Rigid , I found out the drawers are too heavy. Husky Connect drawers and canteliver units for the win, who would have thought 🤔. PS, using the cantilever as the top unit allows you to put your drills and a charger inside the bottom if you remove the small trays inside . I put a liner on the bottom, about 3/8 thick for padding, and my drills actually are perfect height to close the canteliver, and they don't move when closed. Love when stuff wirks out that way !

I’m actually going to get this system. Been doing a lots of research and for what I will need it for, it will do just fine. I can’t justify spending over $300 for a pack out system. I don't know who started this stackable toolbox system on wheels idea, but what a great idea. Love it. I really like this Husky system, but I also really like the Hart system. They are quite similar --- affordable, functional, and flexible. Add a 2-drawer unit to each, and I would be totally happy with either. Like you, I also like that the Husky is just black. Most other units try to be flashy with bright colors, but I prefer the subtle black and grey.

Thanks for the review. I like the portability and drawers . When you are in and out of apartments, jobs , and trucks , you need portability up and down stairs . The ease they come apart, and ease of stacking them and having an instant work station , instead of spread out tools in a customer's home is very important. Looks like the design is good on these , with the exception of possibly better 🛞 wheels.

All the manufacturers missed the mark. You need access to your tools without unstacking them in the customers home. You make a mess , and you're working off the floor unless you bring in a portable table to set up. The Rigid system at least stacks and unstacks with a simple design, as does Husky. The Milwaukee is BULKY!!!

ll depends, IMHO. I was a pro musician (bassist) for 20+ years before getting into carpentry. I used to watch fellow musicians spend $$$$ on instruments only to carry them in cheap, $30 GuitarCenter bags - much to my amazement, they were always surprised when something on their instruments was damaged or broken between gigs. Lesson: If you travel with your gear, or tools, etc., especially if they are expensive and are critical for your career, then get the proper cases to protect it all. Period. End of story. The extra expense is worth it. If you keep your tools at home, and rarely travel, then the Husky setup looks like a solid option if it meets your needs. Just my thoughts.

@@davidhunter9434 I would take my squire beater basses or the equivalent out for road work. Usually the gig bags I used cost more then my basses. Lol If you know how to set up an axe you can make anything playable and sound good and nobody would know the difference because musicians tend to be kinda retarded. Musos-"hey bro what kinda bass is that?" Me "oh this o'l thing, it's a 1954 fender Pbass made in Albania by Turkish garden gnomes carved out of unicorn tusks. @davidhunter9434 But, when it comes to carrying tools, the tool box really doesn't matter. Tools are or should be a lot more durable and less delicate than musical instruments. 50% of the people using Milwaukee, Dewalt, etc could do their job worth DIY Ryobi tools. I've literally used my Battery on my Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee drills as a hammer to pound something into place and than throw them into a tool box and head to the next site. I'm not saying treat your tools like I do because I'm really hard on tools. I own a Telco-Data Infrastructure company that bills $125-$185/hr. Than at home we got 300 acres, 125 head of cows. We also have 250 Storage Trailers we rent out, Metal/Welding shop, Paint booth, Carpentry shop. We are Really Really hard on tools at the shop. But I can speak to having a Makita 18v Impact/Drill combo kit that has lasted 5yrs. And I literally beat the crap outta it. My dad always said... you don't buy a Sledge Hammer for Finish Carpentry or a Bush Hog to use as a Finish mower. Lol

I have the ridgid system and have been thinking of expanding to add the husky. Most people might think - why do you need so much? Well as a landlord, who does a lot myself, it makes it simple to separate tools by repair type so you only grab the boxes necessary. If I’m gonna work on a plumbing job, it doesn’t make sense to have my snake with my circular saw. And I don’t have nor do I want a full tool truck, I just want to run to my storage unit, pick up my labeled boxes and go….

I looked at this at H D I don't think it is waterproof but I'm not sure the new ridget system looked better only a few dollars more but they didn't have very many boxes husky had Lott's of them ended up getting the ridget .

I just bought 3 sets at 51$ CAN. Drawer set were 23$ CAN and organizer were 10$ CAN. There was a price advertizing error and I bought it at the right timing.

I bought two carts plus 8 aditional modules. I find that the more module you have the more confusing it became. I have to open many drawers ti find my tools as all modules look alike. I will use my P-TOUCH labeler and identify the drawers and boxes content.

@agfa663
@agfa663 Жыл бұрын
@@patdud1979 I got it new. It was not on sale it was a price error. The error occured when selecting a specific store for viewing the item. It happened to be the store in my area; this is how I found this error. Therefore I ordered 2 at 51$ and many other trays at 10$ and drawer sets at 23$ each. I told it to my frinds and family members. So all and all, family and friends ordered about a dozen before HD found-out the errror and fixed the price. That was last September 2022.

The best thing is both are made by Keter - There is no such a thing like "husky" system....That is Keter Connect System. Same there is NO Rigid, or Hart ... There is Milwaukee Packout made by Keter, just for MIlwaukee, Dewalt Tough 2.0 made by Keter for Dewalt Only, Tstak Dewalt/Stanley made by Keter and Ryobi Link.....Ridgid is Keter gear system, Hart is Keter Stack and Roll system, Husky is Keter Connect system....they are just copies!
@shanersmechaniclife3164

Seems like not many companies do their own manufacturing. They just get companies like Keter to do a run with their " Milwaukee parameters" probably more cost effective in the long run.
