We didn't have Blockbuster here in the Netherlands - Europe, but we did have Hollywood Video here as a chain although the biggest video rental chain here was Videoland which still operates today sadly not as brick and mortel rental store but as online streaming and rental platform.

Yeah, I’m not sure if I’m jealous or not for all those that have the BB nostalgia but I certainly don’t. Never rented games and only started doing a few BB movie rentals in the late 90s when I was able to drive.

I remember Hollywood Video too. I went there to get some rentals, but I also bought some. I hope I still have them and did not throw them out. It is like 15 years ago. wow.

Great find, I remember asking my mom for a quarter just to see the gum ball go down that loopy slide. If you were lucky enough some gum balls had free rentals.

Have such amazing nostalgia for Blockbuster not only from when I was a kid but when Scott and I first started dating in 2000 and we 'd hit up our local Blockbuster for date night and get a movie and a pizza. I'm sure as a kid or even a young adult I put many quarters in one of those but I don't know if I ever won LOL. Either way, nostalgia to the max on this video.

I can't remember if the blockbusters I went to had one of those in it but I miss that place. Good old days of rental stores long gone now. You can probably put mad gum balls in that it's so big

If you don't want to put candy in it, just fill it with the rubber bouncy balls and get it in colors that look like gumballs.

Makes sense, but it is annoying :-) Have to come over to the US and go hunting. But finding the time... Let's see.
