Loving the stuff you find and watching you work so hard. What a good son your parents raised. Hard worker.

How nice that so many of us old ladies appreciate Stacky.In my opinion he is extremely unusual. I watch his videos and smile to myself Sometimes I wish I could bring him to my house ,and give him some of my stuff that my family thinks is crap.Pyrex included.

The stained rugs often clean up well if you use a mild detergent and a pressure washer. Tip from an antique dealer.

Love what you do! A bit of advice from an old man. Not sure who told me this when I first started picking " If its unique and ugly buy it" Same is true when you pick garbage. I always do a quick search now on eBay sold items before I buy. When picking trash, always take the odd stuff. you can always throw it away again after you do your online search. Keep up the great work.

That odd bottle is a service station bulk oil measure jar from the days before quart sealed cans took over. Yours is 1920's 1940's era. Missing the screw on funnel top.

Taco love your video but those wooden frames with the fabric on them at the 11:18 mark are worth a decent amount of money. They are used for needlework. Pick them up when you see them.

My town used to have an annual "big item pickup" where you could put just about anything out and these huge trucks would come around and pick it up. They divided the town in about 6 zones and each zone had a 3-day window for pickup. It was absolutely my favorite time of year. I would drive around each zone and get the best stuff. I furnished my entire patio the first year I moved into my house with stuff I got in the big-item pickup. They stopped doing it about 3 years ago because it cost the city too much money to do. I with they would bring it back! I miss those days.
@Vishiaeq5 жыл бұрын
They did the same here as well.....and quit around 6 years ago. Had too many people throwing the stuff in the middle of the streets and sidewalks and blocking traffic while going through it. I never minded people picking though things, but it was the having to go clean it up off the road and sidewalk when they were done that got irritating. Enough people made a huge mess and ruined it for everyone. I'm with you, I miss those days too. I like how taco is always nice enough to never rip the bags apart and throw things around while he's picking.

I'm glad you grabbed the chair. It looks like Hitchcock, even if it's not. I couldn't see the back of the seat when you threw it in the truck and that's where they're marked. That company's furniture was sold new for SILLY money. It ought to be $10 at the flea anyway.

Great score on the tackle box with lures! Definitely list some of those old lures separately you have some good ones in there, I'm a fisherman and sell old lures as I come across them, sometimes the slightest color variation, hook hardware, etc., can make all the difference :) Plant's voice was a little weird on 'Houses of the Holy', still a great album ;)

That box with all the frames, why not take it, even if you get a quarter a frame, it is still worth something! You found nice chairs, that wooden one looks like an antique, maybe an antique store would buy it from you? I once took a chair that had a broken spindle on it, put it out on a garage sale, before the sale others were telling me to throw it away, but someone came a long at that sale and bought it from me, didn't care that the spindle was broken, said they would fix it!
@lyricwritertoo5 жыл бұрын
Agree. I use frames for craft projects. Especially textured or scroll work. Spray gold or red. Saw idea to use as a wreath base instead of a round metal framework. Decorate one corner as christmas theme. For front doors.
