I like his videos but that is an aggravating aspect. The clock is a good example. If it's a German made Black Forest clock, they can be fixed. You can even order parts online. They are expensive, especially big ones with a lot of complications like that one. Age is another factor, older the better. Unless it is really water damaged or obviously smashed, it would have been a good grab.

Strange how many people throw out old kitchen stuff and some of it is worth a lot of money. Just like the kitchen rolling pin with color handles is worth more than the ones that does not have color. In my city, so many pickers began turning up making a huge mess and/or brawling among each other over items. Then the City Council realized a lot of the stuff was worth big money that they could process as in recyclables. Over night they passed laws to make it an offense to collect curbside. Home owners now have to book a certain day when the council is covering your neighbourhood with their trucks and workgang. You can only put out ONE CUBIC METRE OF STUFF which is like one old washing machine and a single seater couch, no car parts etc! Kind of sad because in the past i scored some next old stuff.

Do you check in books when you see that type of stuff? Many times older people hid money in books and behind paintings etc. and never told others so there could be some in those. Gio Vanni I’m curious. Why does he pick up used appliances that are missing parts or don’t work anymore? Do they get sold for the parts?

@@bonniebunny25 Taco picks them for the scrap value if they are not working or incomplete. There is iron, steel and copper in the parts and motors. The electrical cords can be cut off and sold as shielded copper, etc.

Gio Vanni Thanks!! I would like to know more about this stuff because I want to work for myself and escape 9-5 office hell. Thanks again. I have stuff like this lying around my house. Maybe I could turn into cash at a recycling center.

@@bonniebunny25 Keep watching and you will get good information from Taco and other videos. I also forgot to mention that the ice cream canister was aluminum.

They used to make blinds out of metal but the new ones are plastic. I have a blind made out of aluminum, but they must be 25 yrs old.

My daughter would have loved that toy register I wish I personally knew you cuz I see so many kids toys getting thrown away instead of donated. are people that lazy they just throw it in the trash? Have you grab them and when u come through Elkton again stop by or meet up lol.... its sad to see different items go in the trash instead of a church or homeless shelter something I'm glad you save what you can from the dump. Also very proud of you I subbed at around 5000 and look at how many you have now that is awesome keep living the dream Stacks

Please stop using the word vintage, it means nothing. It pertains to the year a particular batch of wine was made. Just say old.
