After his earlier success with songs based on similar themes, ‘Can’t Believe I Pissed My Pants’ found Bobo treading familiar ground with his unique brand of floor-filling soul music. Copies of this record have been difficult to find - this one was discovered in the ‘used’ section of a record shop in Bonn under the floorboards.

As the DJ cued up ‘Can’t Believe I Pissed My Pants’ by Bobo Bojangles, my heart raced. There we were, my wife and I, on the dance floor. The disco ball above us spun, casting shimmering lights across the room. Our friends and family watched, their eyes wide with curiosity. Now, let me be clear: I’m no John Travolta. My dance moves usually resemble a cross between a startled chicken and a malfunctioning robot. But this was our wedding day, and I was determined to make it memorable. As the beat dropped, my wife grinned, her eyes sparkling. She swayed to the music, her laughter contagious. I took a deep breath and attempted a hip wiggle. It was more like a hip dislocation, but she laughed even harder. We twirled, stumbled, and bumped into other guests. The lyrics-‘I can’t believe I pissed my pants, but it felt so right’-echoed in my head. It was absurd, ridiculous, and utterly perfect. Our dance wasn’t graceful or elegant, but it was ours. We laughed until tears streamed down our faces. And in that moment, surrounded by love and laughter, I realized that life was too short to worry about looking cool So, here’s to our first dance-a hilarious memory etched in our hearts forever. And to Bobo Bojangles, wherever you are, thanks for providing the soundtrack to our wonderfully awkward love story!

"I'm a wet disgrace lika a tramp from France".... Regarded by many as one of( if not) the greatest lines from any popular song ever.. Lennon & Mc Cartney cited Bobo as a huge influence on their songwriting and the inspiration for much of the Sgt Peppers Album. Indeed the likes of Jagger & Richards, the BeeGees, Burt Bacharach & Hal David and many more have all sang his praises..even upto the present day his influence is still there for all to hear. Indeed Taylor Swift on the release if her new album said.." Whos Bobo Bojangles?"...such is his legacy.😮

The "I'm a wet disgrace like a tramp in France" lyrics were inspired by my ex after spending the night with Bobo Bojangles and the band one night on our trip to France. She said that as she was leaving the band's tour bus. Rumor has it, Bobo looked up with a big grin and said, "I'm a wet disgrace like a tramp in France. I can dig it!" And the legend lives on.....

Bobo was so hip; peeing his pants and wiping out in it - add in some soulful horn arrangements and you got a number one hit. You can really hear how the bingo club was beginning to wreck his life when this one came out - that place was a real monkey on his back, man. 24/7 The stories are pretty legendary - just like the music.
