I do this when I go to Australia for a month. For all the reasons you mention but also because the climate is so different to UK the fabrics in Oz are designed for Oz and are more appropriate

this is so real. i thrifted in germany and the workers were obsessing over america saying 'the thrift stores must be so amazing and big there!!' i literally had to tell them that all i do is thrift when i go to europe bc it cannot compare. i love how everyone views the world different
