Di Wakatobi kamu bisa temui kerang yang jauh lebih besar dari itu. Bukan hanya di laut, dia juga ada di tengah-tengah daratan. Dia ada di lokasi yang dulunya adalah lautan dan sekarang terangkat menjadi daratan, di sana banyak ditemukan fosil kerang dan terumbu karang. Keindahan terumbu karang di Wakatobi bisa dinikmati di lautan dan juga daratan. Wakatobi wonderful.

Some interesting excepts from the thousand islands wikipedia page: Thousand Islands consists of a string of 342 islands stretching 45 km (28 mi) north into the Java Sea at West Jakarta Bay and in fact north of Banten Province. A decree states that 36 islands may be used for recreation. Of these, only 13 islands are fully developed: 11 islands are homes to resorts and two islands are historic parks. Twenty-three are privately owned and are not open to the public. The rest of the islands are either uninhabited or support a fishing village. Thanks for watching!

I knew this region coz I like fishing in the sea very often by a boat from Jakarta (main land) since I was a kid. What a local and foreign vloggers rarely do in Jakarta are to go to the islands in north of Jakarta, called "Pulau Seribu" (the thousand islands). You can stay in a bungalow in the middle of the sea. If you in Jakarta and missed beach or little island atmosphere, go to Thousand Islands (Pulau Seribu) by boat, they are located off the north coast of Jakarta , and the territory still belongs to the city of Jakarta, part of North Jakarta. It's means you still in Jakarta. This is what most people forget, even by Jakartans, that Jakarta has many islands and you don't have to go to Bali*

I’m glad that you’re giving the correct information thanks to Ivana. Many foreigners think that Thousand Islands are just islands near Jakarta, but in reality the islands are part of Jakarta. The islands are quite popular among locals, but unfortunately access to the mainland is still limited, so tourism is still limited.

Seribu Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) is definitely not something the national ministry of tourism wants to promote for Indonesia. They want tourist to travel as far as possible from Jakarta (and Bali). Right now, the ministry of tourism promoting Labuan Bajo lik heck a lot.😅😅 Thats why, despite having extremely good tourist infrastructure…. Jakarta is usually built for local/domestic tourists… Jakarta actually hosts a lot more tourists than Bali.. But, they are mostly domestic tourists AND business trips AND social/family visit from all over Indonesia. Kepulauan Seribu is actually popular among Indonesian AND expats living in Jakarta,

Actually there's a lot of islands in the Kepulauan Seribu. The island that I often visit is Tidung Island. Maybe the next trip, I suggest you to visit North Sumatra for Lake Toba, Bukit Lawang for the orang utans, Sungai Abadi in Langkat which is crystal blue river, hills and mountains in Brastagi, waterfalls, etc.

visited the thousand islands back in 2018 and our only regret was not spending a night on one of the islands.

Woah. That landscape, that water, the sands, huge potential is in no way an exaggeration. I think the hectic Jakarta part shouldn't be a deterrent as long as the access to the islands themselves are decent. I do hope it'll become a tourism spot, but I also hope the locals get most of the benefit. Often times the locals are kind of left out of the project, and it's a bit sad to see.

You should do island hopping at pulah seribu. I used to to go to pulau tidung, pulau pramuka, pulau onrust where there is ruin from the dutch era

For only 2 or 3 hour to any direction from Jakarta, yes you'll find some hiddem gems for sure! Next you can go to south direction of Jakarta for 2 or 3 hours, and you'll find alot of beautiful waterfall, mountain scenery & fresh air.

Stomach issue ? Lay flat on your stomach for more or less 10 minutes. Put a pillow under your chest for comfort . Insya-Allah ( God willing ) , no stomach issue .

Better Island then this is Antuk Island or Pantara. After Pantara try Pulau Putri. You will thing to stay there for a month without boring specially Pantara or Antuk Island. Have a visit just two hour from Ancol with air conditioning high speed 🚤 will totally great for you. Stay there a week you will lazy to move to other place

You can watch one video of "LifeofJord" when he came to one of the island of kepulauan seribu named "pulau macan", the whole island is just a bunch of separated hut and there's waiting list to go to that island depends of the demand to fill the hut...why people do that? You can see in that video the reason

You are Canadian Eh? I dont think that place will be crowded ever. Indonesia has thousands of beautifull Islands. I visited a few of them trust me they are gorgeous. At one time I took my friend from Argentina to a lonely beach (not popular for tourists). Years later he told me that he wished he could come to visit again.
