Brings me back to 1987 when I was 18 and life was so different. I was in love with Cindy and at times I felt like Ronald. I watched this movie over and over. Sometimes I wish I could rewind my life.

A very underrated soundtrack and movie. I was always a big fan of Amanda and her family. In 4th grade her father operated on me and to cheer me up he had his eldest daughter Anne-Marie pay a visit. That was almost 50 years ago, but I’ll never forget it. Thank you!

I agree....such a tragic life...Amanda had it all - ultra talented, naturally beautiful (almost freakishly so), very likeable and well spoken. Really hard to understand how someone who had so much could lose in the end like she did. She deserved better. She should have been protected better from the Hollywood machine that warped her life. Very sad.

One of the few movies I can watch over and over again w/o getting bored (even 29 years later at age 45). Only Karate Kid and Back to the Future give this movie a run for her money, but NOBODY gave Amanda Peterson (aka Cindy Mancini) a run for her money in my book. Cindy, you live forever!!!! XOXOXO One of your biggest fans ever :(

My favorite of all time growing up as a young kid, "in a sea of deep blue together at last together as two". Pretty poem, wonder who wrote that? Ironically my daughter now 21 grew up to look amazing just like her and loves politics. I guess dreaming is Very believable, when you love someone. Glad to know she still lives in others hearts as well. Age does not really have a number at that point, when beauty is always there

***** Well said Doug, I couldn't agree with you more. I listen to it in my car a lot. Robert Folk did an excellent job with the music and since I read that this film cost only 1.7 million to make - he probably didn't make a killing scoring the movie. The largest amount the producers paid was $175,000 to use the Beatles song!

Oh, I love 'Siberia', (19:09) especially the very beginning. In the film, it starts playing right as Cindy watches a completely dejected Ronald trudge through the hallway. When the camera cuts to her on the stairs is when I think Amanda Peterson was at her most beautiful in the film. The red sweater and matching scarf just sets her off so wonderfully.RIP Amanda Peterson

Hazel no doubt this is one of the best scenes. The sad thing is when both return to home and inside her car she is complet in love by him; but all his mind is trying to figure out is how they could provide a break up in front of their school friends. I remember the first time I saw this amazing movie (I was in my teennage years just like the movie's caracters) how certain situations in all story could fit in our regular lives and things about school, real friendship, first relationships and how difficult this period of our lives can be. Anyway, I guess we are lucky to make part of a generation that grew up with movies like this one. Best regards from Brazil !
