Ukraine is going to deploy the 61B US-aid on the battlefield, and, although this will not change the final outcome, it will increase (seriously) the cost for any further russian advances.... To me, this looks like a perfect oportunity for peace-talks. Of course, this would mean territorial concessions, but the west could sweaten the deal incorporating the rest of Ukraine into the EU and NATO, and pumping FINANCIAL aid, instead of militarely, into the country, in exchange for reforms to ban the endemic corruption of Ukraine. In 50 or 60 years, when Ukraine is the new Germany of Europe, THE SAME people that are fighting now for Russia, will come back asking if they can, pretty please, re-join Ukraine. It worked in Cyprus. NOW, it is the northern part that wants to join the southern (european) one, and the southeners are refusing, unless the former separatists agree to the southern conditions.........
