This song hits me hard. Two years ago my first love and I met. She was the most amazing person I'd ever known. The last three months of our relationship was difficult. We were both suffering through challenges and she abandon me. Just up and moved away with no warning. I heard from her about a week later through email that she was in love with someone else and left to be with him. It tore me to pieces and I've been a wreck ever since. It hurts so much to know that she's happy with someone else and I will never be able to forget the way she made me feel. But when I think of the happiness we had together, I have to wonder if it was real to her. I have to live with not knowing if she ever truly loved me or not. This song is just so painfully accurate. Whenever my friends say her name my gut twists into knots and I feel nauseous and I just want to run away and cry. Whenever I heard certain songs or watch certain movies I can't help but remember having her next to me. I miss her. And I suffer from chronic depression, before she came along, and it's simply gotten worse since she left me. The days all blur together and nothing changes. I just feel hollow and purposeless. Its scary to realize how much she took over my life and became a part of me. Now I only have memories and sadness. And a deep longing to find a love like that again, yet at the same time her betrayal makes me never want to love anyone ever again.

To me this song means no matter how much time has passed you will think about that one person who made a big impact on your life and you wish you could have done something differently to still have and make more memories with that person.
