@bugspray53445 жыл бұрын
if it helps, i play G a little odd i bar the top three strings (CEA) with my index finger on the second fret then, on the third fret i use my ring finger to hold down the E string it's the exact way you'd play a normal G chord but you hold down the E string with your index finger on the second fret too ^^ hopefully that's not too confusing!

Omggg i remember a year ago this was the first song i played on the uke it was such a struggleeee i couldn't do b, e or g (idk why i didnt choose a diff song) but now this song feels so easy and simple lol also a tip if doing the b7 with a bar is hard there is an alternative b7 that may be simpler all it is, is e except move every note 1 string towards you so now your index finger should be on second fret second string, middle finger on third fret third string, and ring finger on fourth fret fourth string. This way its easier to transition, i hope that makes sense if not you can search "B7 ukulele chord" and you'll see what i mean! Hope that helps! (remember practice makes perfect!)

@BernadetteTeachesMusic7 жыл бұрын
Hey Rainey, B7 is one of those chords that will take time. If that’s the only chord you’re struggling with, then this song is at the perfect level for you. Whenever I want to teach my class a new chord, I introduce a song that has all the chords they know plus one new chord. Practice moving from B7 to Em with correct timing even if the strings don’t ring yet. After a week, your hand will gain the strength it needs to start making these notes ring and your muscle memory will kick in. Please keep me updated 🙏🏼
@RaineyNite7 жыл бұрын

First of all, out of all guitar/ukulele tutorials, this is my favourite layout as you don’t really talk about the finger placements for chords which helps my -10000 patience level. And, I got a ukulele after 4 years of guitar thinking switching chords and finger picking wouldn’t be as bad as someone who’s never played a stringed instrument. I am dead wrong. Patterns are completely different on both instruments, sometimes after playing one instrument I’ll play the other and when I play a chord, I’ll think “oh it’s this shape. Oh wait I’m on a different instrument...” anyways good luck to anyone else who is learning a 2nd or 3rd instrument.
@TenisDimants7 жыл бұрын
Awesome, great tip about singing while changing chords. It is easier for me to play B7 chord the same shape as Em only each finger a string higher, on this song though.
