Очень интересные комментарии. Он собирался оценить её английское произношение, но совершенно об этом забыл - настолько был поглощён и поражён тем, что услышал. И сказал, как минимум, одну важную вещь: подавляющее большинство артистов, используя такую вокальную технику и пытаясь воспроизвести такой звук - с этим бы просто не справились (он сказал: 90%; хотел бы я услышать хотя бы одного, кому это действительно по силам). Он снова обратил внимание на особенную эстетику Дианы Анкудиновой, которую увидел, слушая ещё "Wicked Game"; в "Can't Help Falling in Love" эта эстетика достигает кульминации. Тёмная, мистическая, эмоционально напряжённая, чрезвычайно энергетически насыщенная, буквально затягивающая вас в создаваемое ею пространство. Но само сознание того, что она способна делать такие вещи, как "Can't Help Falling in Love"- греет душу, даёт основание надеяться, что мы ещё сможем услышать от неё что-то подобное. И вновь, как и осенью 2021 года, испытать настоящее потрясение...

Congratulations, you, like many of us, survived the siren. She is an astonishing level of talent. Think about this: she has a polyphonic voice, rare enough, with world class range, ie probably just her down there and she can get pretty high, plus she has, apparently, perfect pitch. There is a video where she repeats this song at the end of this show. It is as close to identical as i can't hear a difference. Plus she seems, from interviews I've watched, to be highly intelligent and has great artistic sensibility. She has a way of channeling songs I've never seen anyone come close to. Lara Fabian does something similar but this girl is living the soul of a song when she sings it. And on top of all this she has the type of tragic life story and happy ending that makes her life a fairytail and gives her a depth of emotional range and a courage to face the darkness that you won't see many artists do in a genuine way. Like I said, she channels the emotions, she does not act them out. Add to that a very pleasing aesthetic to her and that smile. She is currently 19 years old! At that age I was struggling to figure out laundry. You won't see anyone like her in your lifetime, and to be brutally honest I think she is more than a generational talent, she has happened once in the history of mankind and that was it. It's like the planets memetic field had a node in it for a singing godess that can vocalize the energy of earth into song and that is where she is at any given point in time and space. Long may she sing and much may she experiment. I would love to see her sing Fado. Best wishes from a dude in Portugal.

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZe3moShf9d_n5I. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.

"Stunning" and "beautiful" are certainly just a couple of the superlatives you can apply to Diana and all she is and does. Also consider in this performance she only sings two lines from the original Elvis production and one of those she only sings twice! Love your reaction and analysis too!

Her covers of western songs would definitely work on the radio. They tend to be short, too. Her cover of Take On Me by A-Ha is "criminally too short". You can find fairly recent performances of As Your Voice and Personal Jesus on her official KZbin channel at the Wood Grouse Nest Bard Club. It's a great small venue.

Hi, another great reaction. Thank you. Diana is so extraordinary that you cannot compare her to anyone. This voice and her vocal skills are amazing and never cease to amaze me. This is a new TV show in Russia. There are 9 weeks with 9 shows and 9 well known artists. Diana is the youngest artist. They had to sing songs from 9 genres. The last TV show was on 20. November 2021. The 9 artists are also the judges for the other singer. And Diana (18 yo) won the overall competition of which Diana won 4 and took 2nd place once. She shocked the other singers with the first song. The Crow was her masterpiece in this competition, in my opinion. The judge who stands up is the great opera singer Yusif Eyvazov and the husband of Anna Netrebko, who is world famous. He's very impressed. A suggestion - it might be best if you add Diana's last name Ankudinova to the video title, as people tend to search for her full name. This performance was shown on Russian TV in September 2021 - it was the first of nine songs which Diana sang over the nine weeks run of the show (called "ShowMaskGoOn"). You're correct, the song itself was changed to a minor key - the arrangement was done by the US producer Tommee Profitt, who titled it the "Dark Arrangement" - it was he who also stripped it down to just a couple of lines of the original lyric.
