Hi from France: I have been a die-hard LOVEBITES fan since 2018 and I love this band, its compositions, its stage performances, the virtuosity displayed by each of the members, their interaction on stage and of course their charisma. But, there is always a but... I was born at the same time as rock in the US (yes, I am not very young in life anymore, except for this music) and I fell into it at the age of 6 and, for me, on stage, rock must be able to leave a little room for madness and improvisation. However, LOVEBITES uses Backing-tracks for each piece played live, which gives magnificent musical atmospheres and colors, but confines them to a playing rigor that does not allow them to stray from the axis line of the piece played (like Band Maid or Nemophila or Asterism...). A bit like classical concert performers who express their artistic feelings on subtleties that have nothing to do with the world of rock. See "Honkai (本懐) | Spin Off" or "Hate? live" by Band Maid to understand what I mean. Reading the 5 DVDs and their various streaming, their concerts, this is the observation that we can make, this side a little too orchestrated and rigorous. It's just my feeling. However, these musicians are real virtuosos very pleasant to listen to and see and I never get tired of them, certainly one of the best things that happened to the world of rock in the last thirty years (with bands like Band Maid, Nemophila and many others mainly coming from Japan). And Midori (blond hairs and ESP guitar) is definitely part of my top three guitarists in the history of rock...

This is the culmination of a series of videos that were part of a 2 week long set of puzzles called The Money Games, which were the promotion for Ren's song and video Money Game 3, and his Sick Boi album release in '23. The others are shorter and each is devoted to one of the seven sins. Ren and his team jumped in like madmen producing the entire set of challenges and all the videos pretty much in real time. Ren would write the narration and audio, send it to Josh Styles, who found visuals and edited the video together the night before it would be posted live. So basically, Eden was done on the fly. This is link to the compilation of other videos for anyone interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3e5g3xontGkpsksi=BuJZjgRWvDTajQCc

A great reaction to a very under reacted piece by Ren. He has not shied away from stating that even from his early teens he knew he was going to attempt to change the world for the better. It’s one of the reasons that I love the man. He did not dream of being rich and powerful but instead dreamed of using music to change attitudes and help. Thank you.

Great reaction! Love the observations you made about Tommy's choices. I sincerely wish more singers understood about restraint with flourishes and vibrato; you're right, there are definitely those who don't know when to stop. Tommy can certainly do any of that, but he's very conscious and thoughtful about his choices when adapting music, and I, like you, really geek out over musicians who have that ability.

This one is still with the old bass player Miho. You haven't seen Fami yet. To see her, check out "Judgement Day," "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)," "Soldier Stands Solitarily," as well as the version of "Hammer of Wrath" that was taken from the Knocking on Heaven's Gate DVD.

I assume it has already been explained below that this performance was before Miho (co-founder and original bassist of Lovebites) retired, because no bassist carries her instrument as cool and deep as Miho does! She is a fantastic bassist and I admit, I miss her in Lovebites - but the "young blood" Fami represents a young type of bassist and is also a fantastic bassist in her playing and, incidentally, has raised the average height of Lovebites. 😜 Now Miyako is no longer the undisputed tallest in the band in terms of height (on a, admittedly, low level - for all the "long noses" in the world). Lovebites stands for me as such a fascinating, incredibly good metal band in our world, that I am currently having a hard time finding comparable class in the modern music world.

ASAMI’s highest note is heard in JUDGMENT DAY, where she goes up three octaves in the last verse. In A FROZEN SERENADE, three beats separate MIYAKO’s last note on piano from the first note on guitar. The new bassist? Consider the date of the video.

Yes, these women are just beyond belief. Again, their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. Miyako embeds her classical training into their metal stuff and it is an outstanding plus. Somebody commented that Miyako might not be the best guitar player and might not be the best pianist but her level at mastering those two instruments is just outstanding and probably unmatched. Another excellent track is “Dystopia symphony” (only audio); another masterpiece composed by Miyako that is based on Beethoven’s “moonlight sonata”.

A great reaction, though quite a surprise. I've got to go see your take on "Hi Ren" for an explanation as to why so many people recommended this as your second video. Did they mean to recommend the two 🔥 songs of Ren with Eden Nash*, or did they think you'd gravitate to Ren's philosophy? FYI, In case it wasn't explained to you, this video was aired at the conclusion of a scavenger hunt following a week of clues & riddles prior to the launch of "Money Game part 3." It was a bit wild - difficult & complex, so people all over the world were collaborating in Google docs and various social media to try to solve pieces that led to coordinates. A suitcase of money was buried at the end of the hunt. This video aired after the winner decided whether to keep or burn the money. ;) *Ren x Eden's songs are "Ocean" and "Humble." They both have a mix of singing and rapping with a somewhat Caribbean feel.

@grieverproductions2022 Concerning your cutting the beginning of Miyako's Chopin performance, Yes, you did do that. I played the song linked in your description (from "Sayonakidori") and it is not the one you watch in your video (from "Harry Vethkov Maffiosov") AND you did skip the first part of the Chopin piece Miyako plays. The video you watched starts with silence, darkness & silence, as does the one linked in your description. Please give attention to details with LOVEBITES. Make sure the time-line is all the way back at the very start of the video, and watch to where the video ends. Also, note the error in the embedded subtitles of the video you watched, as also stated by ChadTheDragonLord, The subtitles are incorrect - The one line should be "It is not the LENGTH [not "worth"], but depth of life that counts." Here is the comment I left on your "Glory To The World" reaction, > "Your comment about "grainy" video for "A Frozen Serenade" urged me to share these links. Optional links that are 1080p with [cc] lyrics for "A Frozen Serenade" LIVE 2021: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXbNf2qads1npc0 "Swan Song" w/Chopin intro LIVE 2020: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPLpaSdnr14d5Y The other links offered are 720p with errors in embedded lyrics. This is simply in the interest of people viewing the highest quality video and accurate lyric subtitles. These are not my uploads, they are just the ones that are best quality." > a comment you 'liked' and replied to with "Thanks for these! I will have a look 😊" yet you ignored what I wrote. I attempted to assist you in avoiding the 'wrong lyric'. Honestly, I did not watch this video beyond seeing you CUT the start of Miyako's Chopin performance. I skipped forward to check which video you actually watch in your reaction. I am disappointed in your carelessness (cutting start) and having ignored/forgotten/not-cared about my comment that you 'liked' and replied to, but not actually 'having a look'. Your reply to this comment (or lack of a reply) will determine if I bother with your future LOVEBITES reactions, as I am sure you understand considering your lack of attention & respect for the artist & fans with how you begin (not at the start) with this one. The links in my 'copied comment' are legit. High quality, no errors in [cc]. Will it be worth my time to share info & links to the highest quality videos with you? At this time, I expect not. This into & links are for your benefit, to the benefit of your channel, if not ignored. dreg👁

To hear Asami improve the vocal to near perfection on this song, (better English pronunciation, and note rolls in the chorus delivery more closely mirroring the excellent studio version) see their official video from 2023. It's the one most people recommend against because the piano intro is not included, and the instrument mix isn't as good, but vocally it is a thing of beauty. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHyVYparfpKJbcU
