ARPEGGIOS baby! This is the ORIGINAL way to do this song by Elvis Presley with good bass back up! NAMING EACH keynote or chords by LETTERS 🔤🔠🔤🔠 is very helpful. Other wise lessons are NO good when playing songs! Counting is important too! 🫑

Brenda is a wonderful and gifted music teacher. I would selfishly keep her as a teacher to myself, but honestly check out her lessons. They’re the best.

It is actually 6/ 8 time with a rolling like sound in the original thru out the whole song. ❤

Thank you SO much for the tip about not over-stretching your hand on the octaves and 7ths! I've been doing that and it's been causing pain. Part of my problem is waiting till I'm old enough to have arthritic hands before deciding to learn keyboard 😜But I don't want that to stop me and you've given me hope! I love your overall approach, the excellent organization and presentation of the material, the scalability, explanations, and your fun confidence-building vibe. I'm going to work with these videos for a few more weeks then join as a member 🎹🎶

The chords on your download are slightly different
Not bad Brenda you got it pretty good to the original! Naming each keynote or chords by LETTERS 🔤🔠🔠🍀 🔠 is very helpful at an easy pace just don't rush it ALL!! We seen others do this song really crappy! Instead they do Jazzy Cocktail 🍹🍸 style!! Keep to the original friend! ❤❤❤❤

As always it comes as no surprise now for me anyway; Another excellent tutorial from Brenda. I wish you had been my teacher all those years ago. It would have saved so much time, energy, deflation, disenchantment and finally resolution that I couldn't and wouldn't be able to play the music that I wanted to finally leading to resignation and abandonment of this beautiful instrument which I absolutely love. Learning the traditional way is a good basis and stands you in good stead with the knowledge of chords, formulation, scales and general theory but not all over us can strive to be concert pianists and so it just becomes totally dispiriting! There is a great deal of snobbery around classical training, music - again which I love but there is also a high amount of shame and feeling of incompetence and imposter syndrome when unable to play requests asked for at social gatherings. That even includes Happy Birthday lol. You have laid all that to bed for me Brenda and I shall forever be grateful and appreciative. If I could sing, I would love to join you in 'Piano & Voice!' Since Covid my voice has gone and range is now down to a few tones. An octave at a push! From a 3 octave range to a lousy 1 is disheartening to say the least but I still have the joy of piano and your experience to fulfill that void. Thank you
