I thought I couldn't accompany myself because I haven't learnt to sing over chords. I needed the melody but I just realised I can sing along with Brenda. She provides the melody guide! I think I'm going to have great fun with this video and I so want to sound a bit country. 🙂 Maybe if I keep singing along with Brenda's voice I'll get the knack for singing over chords on my own.

Thank you for sharing this in the key of "C". This style of accompaniment is new to me and it was so much easier to grasp the concept without sharps and flats. 🎹 However, now that I understand and have gotten more fluid, you have given me the tools to tackle this song in the original key that has the dreaded black keys. Thanks for a excellent lesson from Country Road by John Denver, I Have not any singing voice, and wonder if you have a video on how to play and record the melody first with your right hand with saxophone or some instrument like that and playback the melody when I practice the chords. I had a real epiphany watching your video. I have played the guitar much longer than I have played the piano. I have always wondered how to strum the piano like a guitar. It dawned on me that your accompaniment ,precisely sounds , 😅like a guitar, being strummed. Thanks for the epiphany.
