Can't hide ur Wingtips

Showing my Wing Tips on the local lake. GONG Veloce XXL makes a great case for hard carves and wingtips-out-turns. The wide Wingspan pretty much guarantees it! Sooo much fun, even though the Dock start is quite annoying on the Veloce as it needs to go pretty fast for a foil its sice! But once its going it goes fast and furious enabling crazy turns and lots of glide!

Hi Leo, love your videos man. So inspiring. I live in the bay area and not many good opportunities for kite foiling since the wind is shitty over here. Having idea to start pumping (lots of lifeboats from the cruise ships around creating a good wake) Already having gong curve M for kitefoiling so thinking to get front wing Curve XLT for a beginner pumping wing. Is it going to be good choice? I'm 75 kg. Hope you will find the time to answer. Cheers.

Curve XL-T is what we use here for beginners because we have a dock allowing to really run the start and avoid jumping on the board. If you have a dock requiring dead start or jumping like in the video here, the Curve is a bit too small, I would look more towards the X-Over XXL.

Another great video Leo. You make it look so dam easy :) Was wondering what set up you use for Wing foiling in lighter winds and the higher winds. I got the Curve XL (Wish I got the XLT), then i got the Fluid XXLT (1950 Sqcm). I just ordered the Fluid High Aspect XL-H (1500). It's a beast 112 cm wide. I figured when I get back in the water will use the 1950 for the lighter winds and the XL-H for the higher ones. If it really cranking I bought the Veloce LT (1350) but honestly I dont think my skill is there for it yet. I weigh the same as you (85 kg). Was wondering what you would recommend for the days that it is a little winder, (not nuking ) Thanks as always for all of your input.

Fluid XL-H should be fine for average wind quickly and if you get how to pump it efficiently it may even totally replace the Fluid XXL-T. The Fluid H are a special feeling, either you'll be totally in love after a few sessions or you won't like it at all. In this range I really liked the Veloce XL-T, less glide than the Fluid H, needs a bit more wind but easy on all aspects. Then there are Veloce XL-H and Ypra S XL, a bit harder to launch (need less wind than the Veloce L-T but more precision in the pumping than the others mentioned here). The Veloce is easier for in flight pumping, and maybe glides a bit better, the Ypra S more turny, in between Fluid H and Veloce H but keeping the stability of the Veloce when you go straight. I really love the Ypra S XL in wing but I'm not sure I'll be able to use it in surf foil or dock start while the Veloce XL-H is good for that.

Curve XL-T is a while different beast, thicker, less glide and easier on all aspects than the 2 others. In between the Veloce XXL and the Fluid XXL-T, the Fluid felt easier, more tolerant to perturbations in the water (passing waves, white water) easier in turns, more tolerant to imprecise in flight pumping. The Veloce has more glide.
