A small tip for newer players: with how many ally protect champs in the game there are, you can build plenty of double ally protect teams that can 1 to 2 key clan boss. If you can't pull what you want, then use what you have. Unkillable and infinity teams have higher damage ceilings, but you don't need them.

This doesn't quite fly with me. The biggest impediment are getting the key champions, followed closely by gear and great hall/faction guardian bonuses. I wasn't able to reliably one-key even nm until the Helicath fusion. But I had two wait two years between pulling my first and second Maneaters (just in time to make a RabBatEater), so I sympathize with those who can't spend on shard packs at all.

I see both sides of the argument. How I see it though is this. Wixwell did something that allowed those players still progressing to speed up the progression process by gaining access to resources that directly facilitated that process, tomes for booking champs, shards for fusions, 2x's, 1+1's etc. which the og's never had with the limited content and mechanics of the game and lack of champions that are here today 5+ years on. Raid today is a vast beast compared to where it started and there is little in the way of catchup mechanics in place. Wixwell, for those who have him, to me is simply a catchup mechanic that helps move progressing and end gamer alike. End gamers don't need him but it's there if they with to use it. Progressing players do need him, and what's more, it was in use in content that has no competitive angle so affects no one other than the individual and the clan as a whole in downing the CB helping those who don't have Wixwell too. His hydra nerf was required and because of HC, I accept it, but it did not need to affect PvE content, especially old, but valuable content for the players. Those who harp on about not having these options when they started sound the same to me as to those millennials who hear about pre internet, then dialup, and phones that were attached to the wall on cables. It's irrelevant in real terms but is a nice story about the horrors and of times when the technological dinosaurs still roamed the Earth that's also in living memory. I also see it like this... Scenario 1. If you have a job with no benefits holidays, maternity/paternity leave, pension etc. then you are not missing anything. However, your employer suddenly gives you all these benefits and you get used to them, you are happy and you love the extra security. how would you feel having those then taken away again a few months later after getting used to them? Scenario 2. You join that same company after the benefits were introduced and knew nothing else. Then a few months later, your employer takes them all away again and says to you "I just don't want you to have them anymore. I f*cked up giving them to you all in the first place." How would you feel? How would you react? And how would you feel if some numb nut turns around and say's, "well, when I first started here, we had none of these benefits anyway. It is what it is." I'm sure you would not be happy either and just suck it up and get on with it. I know people are going to say, then just leave if your are unhappy with the game. It's that same numb nut mentality imo that can't see beyond their intellectual nose. It's not the game that is making people unhappy stupid, it's the freaking company that's running it. You can love the game AND hate the company for what they are doing to it, and the players. THEY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE! Think beyond one idea at a time, and beyond yourself. You may actually "get good" in life if you can manage that. you don't have to agree, just see.

As someone who doesn't even participate in Nightmare clan boss, let alone Ultra Nightmare, I feel for the people who had their progress taken away. I do not care if the main piece of their progress was considered broken or too good, it simply sucks. I am most annoyed by it because Plarium did it THIS long after Wixwell came out - They did it with a clear intent to weaken players that had relied on him for awhile. I simply do not think they had game balance in mind for any reason beyond negatively impacting players to try and get them to spend money, or at the very least commit hundreds of hours into a grind to get a new team up and running. Good change or not, Plarium did not do it to maintain healthy game balance and that is what upsets me.

Naked epics is more of a figure of speech regarding Wixwell teams as all you need is for example geo and a buff extender, the rest can be food as it will not matter much, barely any speed tuning nor gear requirements and is generally "stupidly easy to set up", which also MrBurrito knows. Next, because Demon Lord is old content, it was accepted, even though imo it is still extremely unfair for newer players, that you can still 1 key unm cb if you have or ever pull Wixwell. Unfair in the way that either you have Wixwell and get plenty of shards each month, or you don't and you struggle like many struggled before Wixwell came out, or you pay or get lucky. And yes there is a playerbase outside of the "yay I won the lottery with Wixwell and get free shards forever from now on". However the line was drawn at Wixwell being able to solo unm cb, which I think is fair compromise by Plarium. But apparently you think it is unfair that Wixwell cannot solo unm cb and carry entire clans, you see no problem in that. 3rd, as a spicy sidenote, I don't agree to the sentiment that Wixwell free unm cb and the following shard rain that it includes does not affect other players. It does affect other players because a shard influx makes Plarium raise the requirements of their content like fusions, heroes path etc, and their calculation of how they need to set up their game plan of squeezing that extra from the player base. This is somewhat of an extra tax towards all new players, especially the ones that cannot have a shard income like unm cb is. Personally I'd like to see them move most of the shards gained in cb and spread them out to other areas like Cursed city, Hydra, maybe 3v3 and arena chests, etc. Then it would not matter if Wixwell does billions to unm cb and the only reason unm cb is such a sensitive subject is because that is where the majority of the shard income is. Doom Tower for example, which is magnitudes harder than cb, gives 2 sacreds and 5 void shards if you can complete both normal and hard. That is around 1/3 the amount of shards you would expect from 1 key cb during a month.

I honestly think the rise of Wixwell teams killed Deadwood Jedi, because his whole gimmick was clan boss teams and now a champion that basically everyone got for free invalidated his channel. I however believe that Deadwood Jedi's Clan Boss content has aged really well. I didnt go for Wixwell and went through a plethora of clan boss teams before ending on my 1key UNM team. I started with Pain Keeper/Maneater>Demytha/Maneater>Deacon/Myth/Heiress. I pulled a Wixwell and I will eventually book and max him out but not for clan boss, likely hydra as a provoker. I think the nerf was aimed at early game low spenders, 1 keying UNM was giving away too many shards and these people werent spending as much so they needed a reason to change wixwell (hydra LOL). Honestly that opinion is just a cospiracy theory, hard to really know the actual reason.

Totally disagree. Plarium makes, designs, plans, and codes their champions in advance. Plarium makes OP champions. (It encourages desire and spending). Players also love OP champions. (They're cool and offer more potential than past champions). Players use ingenuity and knowledge of champions skill sets to tackle the problems of the game. In a world with no internet, most players would be clueless and the challenges of the game would remain. In a world with internet, knowledge on game tactics and strategies are rapidly shared. You can't blame the players for this. Game content will be cracked. Plarium's goal should be to make a game people want to play--not make a game with unbeatable content.

@@awilliams765 Clanboss is far from unbeatable. The ability to gain the stats needed to beat that content has never been easier in fact. Getting the champs is just a lottery. I don't agree with a lot of what was done in Hydra, but when it comes to Clanboss and Wixwell, all they did was balance him to the point where you have to invest more gear-wise to bring it closer to what all the other teams are at. He is still viable in clanboss, ppl just need to build a better team. If someone can't give more stats, then do what everyone else did and farm some artifacts. My major issue with what was done is that they took too long to fix that (I am specifically speaking about clanboss, not the other stuff)

I don't understand this really. When I look at our clan scores, the top scorers on clan boss are still wixwell teams. They aren't even spectacular, just wixwell, geomancer and some epics, and they one key for 150-200 million damage easily.

I started this game in 2019. Most content creators are literally just making their first several videos at the time. Took me over 2 years to get UNM down and by that time there were much more tutorials out with much more champions than 2019. People these days want some instant fix. The tips / champions / free gear etc... that exists right now is so much more resources/champions than we ever got back in the day. Learn to damn play the game.

We had level 20 dungeons and farmed them for years. Now there's doom tower boss gear, level 25 and hard dungeons where the gear is expedited so go farm some gear if you can't reach 270 speed.

Great point, newer players expect veterans to apologize for their success, progress, luck, knowledge, eveeything that comes from playing a gacha. It's the biggest issue I had with Bungie and Destiny. In D1, they did this soft reset with Taken King making every existing player to square one exotic wise. Had to recollect everything again, likewise with weapons. This after making everyone upgrade those exotics, and boosting the level. That's the same sentiment with that line of thinking--you can't hop into a game and expect the same level of success as someone that has played much longer, or expect to get the same champs as someone that has been rolling the dice for much more time, therefore having the odds pay off more times. Not to get political, but it's a real dang socialist way to think, for A GAME of all things. Especially when those players aren't effecting how you play, sans PvP. But even then, it's all relative. Someone hopping into CoD for the first time will be mollywomped handily, and there will be some that they just can't catch up to skill wise.

My clan can still beat cb, but I'm doing half the damage I was and can no longer 1 key unm. I can probably change the team and get it back to 1 key, or I can rebuild my old speed tune team, but I don't have the patience. Between the recent changes basically ruining a bunch of champs I invested in and not being able to get Freyja because of the changes to that event (I had the resources, but not enough time to grind), my motivation to play is just gone.

Somewhat players that got 1 key UNM with Wixwell in my clan, can get 1 key with him still after the nerf. But they have decent gear on their teams. Also we recently fought some whale clan in Siege, mostly level 100 players with 30mil+ player power. They didn't care to play. Their members weren't logging in. Like an empty shell of a clan with busted accounts in it, with people that stopped caring about the game. This says a lot about the state of the game and Siege.

problem with Raid is you are limited in what you can do by the champs you pull. Two examples: 1. ME. I've played the game for 1.5 years, and spent over 2K. I NEVER pulled a single Unkillable legendary. The only unkillable legendary I have is Emic, and I have him because I went for the fusion (and now one of his abilities is useless due to the Hydra "rebalance"). I still don't have a maneater, only pulled Demytha after more than a year 2. a player in our clan. she came after Artak and she had really shitty luck: no AoE HP burn champ, no unkillable, no ally protect- in no way she could even tackle UNM (even 4 keys) without good pulls

Wixwell FTP CB teams are not dead. The problem is that people need to build wixwell correctly now. I've 1 keyd UNM CB with Wixwell, 2x Valeries, Heiress, and Rathalos as a damage dealer but any damage dealer will do. Just not bad affinity against the CB you're fighting. SO! How to build wixwell correctly after changes: 1. Put Wixwell in Reflex and Impulse. If you don't have impulse, just go for your fastest gear. 2. Open with his A3 but after the opening, don't use it and only go A2. I've seen so many KZbinrs do this wrong. You need to only go A2 because reflex works best if it can prioritize reducing the cooldown of 1 skill. Wixwell should be at least 250 speed and valeries should be at least 200. What will happen when you set it up like this is that you will have tons of buff stacks on you when the CB starts killing your first Valerie which means that it won't matter for the team if a buff extender is lost because your team can live off the stacks you already got. This will make the team last significantly longer. This works against red, blue, and void affinity. Green affinity: Switch out Heiress for someone who puts up block debuffs for the entire team that gets extended by wixwell/valeries. If it's a damage dealer, put him in damage gear. otherwise toxic to get the most amount of damage out of them. Spirithost is a freebie that works and also increases attack for your damage dealer. The damage dealer should be green or blue affinity.

Wixwell got most of our caln a chance at higher stages and it was a very nice feeling of success to do lots of damage more than before. my team did 150m before, 620m with him... now the 620m work only on brutal, nm is mostly 350-450m and unm betwenn 85 and 120m with wixell and back to 150m with the old team depending on the affinity.

People.... there's zero benefit to ever scoring more than 70.3 million in one UNM key. Fine, aim for minimums of 80 million to give yourself a safe buffer. Beyond that - you're playing a weird game, IMO, when you're doing charity work trying to put multi-100s of millions damage so you can help weak clanmates. If your former 300-800 million team now only does 100-200 million, you've had zero material impact or setback. Move on.

People act like raid is a sprint and want everything giving to them! But it’s not it’s a marathon! If your gear isn’t good enough to build a 270 speed dymitha then you’re probably not as far in the game as you think you are. If your still farming stage 20 Dungeons and have not completed all hard dungeons and completed all of faction wars then sorry your not even in the mid game and you need to tackle that content first and I guarantee you’ll pick up the gear you need to hit that 270 dymitha speed on the way

First of all, I agree Wixwell make the demon lord CB trivial. I benefit hugely from him. But is that a bad thing in 2024? With so many new content in Raid? I still need to learn Hydra mechanics for me to able to get the top chests from Hydra Brutal and Hard. I still struggle to do Dungeons in order to progress hard mode. Sintranos hard is a show stopper. But normal I can reach up to the last island (not complete it). I totally agree with Saph, it shouldn't happen in the first place. But now it had happened it shouldn't get nerf. Cause a lot of people would've quit raid if they can't do CB, but now people have stayed and invested its so brutal it happened to them. Just to be clear, I still 1/2 key UNM depends on RnG.

Clan bosses walere not meant to be cheesed. When lowbies start getting endgame prizes from an endgame boss, something is wrong here. Plarium fixed that. All the lowbies expecting endgame prizes at their pathetically weak standings are now bit*hing because they don't know how to play the game. All they do is copy and paste teams without knowing how to create any other viable teams. Then they gloat about it while getting their butt owned in arena. That's sad. Learn how to play this game and go build a real cb team. Don't cry because you can no longer exploit this game. If you can't beat cb, you don't deserve to beat it yet. Simple as that. Think of all the players that played longer and actually learned to play the game, earning their ability to beat the cb. It's not just Boozor that did this. There are plenty of players like myself that never used exploits or copy teams to beat cb which is why i still 1-key cb after the fix. In fact, i'm now the greatest dmg dealer in my clan because my teams have always been legit to the core. Gj plarium. About time you put the freeloaders in their place. 😂
