Riot accidently left a file available on their public cdn which allowed for full fledged emulation of the 2011 servers. A player found this and was able to use it as the ground framework for a fully useable oldschool private server. Unfortunately, that guy foolishly thought Riot would work with him on the project. Instead of releasing the code to the public, he was sued in a legal lawsuit and that pretty much sealed away all hopes of something like this ever happening. Riot will not follow in the footsteps of blizzard or any other game and make a retro server. They don't even like doing urf because it divides the community. Not to mention, their net gross income is through the charts. They have no reason to do anything other than what they're doing right now. This awful gaming company understands that all people want to see is Korean pro players on the jumbo screen and e-girl skins. Don't hold your breath. You'll be waiting for an eternity lmao.
