Hi man. Dig your channel! Struggling a bit to use my midi keyboard thru ovox. Can see on your midi track the output is set to the plugin. I tried the same with no luck. Can u play it with midi/keyboard without any other vocal track or do you need the vocal track as other vocoders? Ciao

I can't seem to get rid of the delay when I use the ovox. When I insert an audio track and load ovox into it my entire project gets about 50ms of latency added to any other instrument. Strike a midi note on my keyboard and It comes through significantly later. Take ovox out of the vocal chain and latency goes back to normal on all other instruments. Is this normal? Are there ways to reduce the latency introduced by ovox or should I be setting it up differently in pro tools?

This plugin sounds the closest to the Roger Troutman talk box effect. I have VoiceSynth 1 and 2 and I have Sound Toys Alter Boy and those plugins are good but this is the closest I can get to that talk box effect. I have the MLX 22 y’all box but it’s hard for me to keep that tube in my mouth (please spare the jokes😑) I had to pay that $69 + tax for this plugin...I had no choice!

Connect a mic, arm-rec the track, select "track" in the "voice" menu at the top left of Ovox

If I understand what you are looking for correctly, you would want to click the synth cogwheel which is a little bit up and to the left of the center, you can activate the midi out function and then you just need to do whatever you need to do to send that midi to another track.

Hi Mixbus, you can do this stuff and better for free with freeware plugin Talkbox VST. Takes talent to get it right tho i guess. Edit: And by better i don't mean alternatives, but by the way it sounds.

I'm not sure how can you sing multiple notes at once (a chord) but even if you could, you can extract/turn any audio signal into midi with Melodyne

MixbusTv The plugin has a chord selection, the same thing you did with your midi while playing one note you can do with your voice to play chords. I guess that was my question in general, do you need an outside plugin to extract the chords you played or can you do like the Vochlea which goes directly onto midi format?

good call thr update plan is horrible. eventually the plugins will not work on new computers and will charge you for updates ... not worth getting sucked into the update plan.
