Great job!!! Sometimes just getting confused if we will see in near future deflationary or inflationary preasure. Recently in great real vision talk with Steven Van Metre and Jeff Snider were mentioned and explained pretty well deflationary forces, but in some other videos we can hear all about inflation. Is it that in some part of economy will be deflation when at the same time inflation in other part? Whoever seen talk Jeff about deflation, could you tell me what we should take from that compare to inflationary reasons in this talk? Thank you (y)

I would really enjoy watching this fellow debate Steven Van Metre or Jeff Snider. I think this video presents a very incorrect macro analysis, but it's intriguing. I think we are in a massive blow off top equity bubble that is about to face deflationary headwinds. At which point, people will rush back to bonds, because zero is better than carnage. But that's the beauty of markets. They wouldn't work if people didn't disagree.

Haven't read the blue interest rate book in the background by Homer and Sylla but I have read Henry Kaufman. Kaufman and Albert Wojnilower are underrated economists. Reading them as context enabled me to better understand and make sense of the strength and weaknesses of Hyman Minsky's work on liquidity. Yes I'm one of those people who instantly checks out the books on someone else's bookshelves.

No idea what they're talking about. I just think of inflation happening if we get dollar falling during housing bubble usually, or oil prices increasing causes inflation of some things but will reduce profits and cause deflation in optional products.

In my opinion trying to compare China to Japan is dumb. I understand they look the same. By the way Japan might not have taken over but they’re still pretty close to the top. Their ambition was never to “take over” as you put it . The same goes for China. It’s just another Western projection of their insecurities and weakness.

@@EUGENIUS60 the bank of japan scrapped the perfectly functioning economic policy the ministry of finance had been using to leave the war based economy of the west. caused a massive asset bubble and then lifted the carpet from under the country all for a new western style debt based economy. this is covered thoroughly in the documentary "the princes of yen" free on youtube and super interesting/infuriating.
