Like many other commenters that intro riff and the verse and chorus licks are just so perfect. I love this song! Makes me feel like another time in history.

After understand this riff, I have enormous respect for Keith Richards. This riff is absolutely genius. I've seen him play it live and his hand barely moves. It's checkmate on the fretboard.
@mboyer682 ай бұрын
I've been trying to play this for over a year and could never get it. Your lesson on this song is the best. Than you so much 🙏 When I watched your left hand during the intro I knew you had it right, that's exactly how Keith plays it.... the left hand barely moves.
@GaryBook3 жыл бұрын
You are so correct that Keith plays it loose and improvises every time he plays it live. That is why they are the greatest rock n roll band live, because they create some thing fresh everytime they play. Great lesson, tabs, explanation.
@247GuitarwithHowardHart3 жыл бұрын
Thanks :-) And I agree... Truly one of the greatest live bands.

A perfect example of Keith never playing a song the same way once. All those variations are hard for this old brain to pin down, but I am getting there. Excellent job of breaking it down. Thanks.

I love your acoustic stuff. I'm not a Venmo guy but my son is. When he gets back from vacation I'll ask him to do donation for me. Your students are lucky because you are a methodical teacher. Hope you visit Santa Cruz someday. Lots of live music in my area.

Within the context i first heard this song i loved it instantly, immediately looked it up and started learning and your teaching methods i like because you explain the how and the why in basic form before the nuances/techniques are added giving the student a sid foundation to work on- best way in any area. SoI found this song on "Reacher" season 1 along with One of Blind Blake's most well-known songs “Police Dog Blues,” which has been covered by many artists idk which ones the best apart from blind Blake himself still though some covers can surpass the originals in their own way.

No special effects... just a bit of gain on the Boogie. If I remember right, the "original" boogie was essentially a modified Fender amp? I purchased one back in the day when you had to wait months to get it... I had to drive to the airport to pick it up!

It’s funny when he plays live he doesn’t play anywhere near the way it’s supposed to be playing I’ve never seen him nail it live I understand that muscle Shoals musicians laid those tracks down along with Mick Taylor doing a solo on it
