The reason why Tengen uses them like this, his because of his immense strength. I mean this man used both of these with one hand, and even held them in between his fingers. The think about them though is that in the anime they aren’t entirely that much shorter than a regular katana. Plus combined with this things weight, and size, Tengen, along with his strength, can easily cut off any demons head.
