Mines is 2020 drove like a pro , i was in Tennessee high up in the mountains with snow and with the off road and it worked miraculously i have the FWD and i loved how stable it was in snow and dirt with all season Continental tires !

I have an ‘18 model. It’s amazing in the snow. It’s so good, you really can’t even tell the AWD system is working. Nissan will never create another Murano like this gem. I love it

Good to know! I live in Connecticut and I went from a Rogue Sport to the 2021Murano SL recently. I had no problems with the Sport in the snow. Happy to see I will definitely not have any issues in the snow 😀

Here in the USA in West Virginia, we don't get the snow you get in Canada. When I replace the tires on my Murano, I'm going with an All Weather tire that is snow rated. That should do much better than the all season tires that came on the car, and allow me to get around in our conditions here. If I lived in Canada I would definitely go with dedicated snow tires.

Wow shout out to West Virginia. Thanks so much for watching. Replacing the tires that came from the dealer will certainly help with your grip on the road. I found that the tires that come from the factory are very soft and replacing them makes a huge difference

i also noticed when driving my 2021 maxima in a snow storm you will loose your sensors . the snow builds up on the front and and then you get a message telling you your sensors are disabled . as far as i know there are no fix for that .

heard a rumor that murano will get an large update on 22 or 23. they said every year nissan does a large update on a specific model. they did it on Altima, then sentra, then Rouge. Only remains are Murano & maxima.. let's see.

sensors will not work in a snow storm or heavy snow condition , slush or any build up on the front end . something i wish nissan would look into .

The Murano still a nice SUV last week was snowed in had to leave because of power outages few days had spend couple nights in hotel 100 miles away because ones in my area were all booked I was freezing to death and my cats had to take them as well good thing had hotel where was pet friendly enjoyed the snow but was worst case scenario almost died being in the cold not used in area living.

Does this still share the same platform as the Altima? I had a 2009 LE for a brief time and was not fond of the ergonomics and the cramped interior. Although in its day the styling was pretty modern but its dated at this point. I never considered it a SUV or a car for that matter. Its really its own segment. For somebody that wants something different this is it. I'm more excited about the new pathfinder and Frontier. These are models where Nissan is addressing long term issues/complaints against the brand. IMO, the only thing they should still be using the CVT is in the Versa, sentra, and altima. On smaller compacts CVT's make sense and can utilize the limited power they usually get and also by keeping the price points down. But Murano's and Maxima's are not cheap. They are definitely more of a premium model that probably should get that ZF 9 speed that's going into the new pathfinder.

I'm a long time Nissan rep and fan as well as a critic and I understand that the Pathfinder is only the FIRST attempt with the ZF9 Transmission. The Murano has plenty of power and the response with the CVT and the legendary VQ series V6 isn't really noticeable as it would be in the Pathfinder which is used widely for towing (The Murano is not). I wouldn't be surprised if they put the 9 speed in the Murano which should be given the redesign for the 2022 Model year but I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't. Nissan does a complete redesign usually every 6 - 7 years maximum (Excluding the Frontier of course!)

@@carsunlocked Also - a really good vid! I sometimes try to encourage my Murano customers to test drive in some snow to experience the feel. Nissan uses active Trace and active Ride control to help it in corners and in handling bumps (so the vehicle doesn't buck up and down like some other models do). I'm in the GTA and with the snow, the Murano usually does well using the test driver vehicles that of course don't have snows.
