Baby!! You only need to do the protein treatment ONCE every six weeks I’m positive that’s what the bottle says. Be careful too much protein will completely break ur hair off just an fyi in case u don’t know or If ur hair isn’t protein sensitive.

It’s probably tension damage from wearing wigs back to back, it causes hair breakage and excessive shedding...Also check your iron levels.

For the clumps of hair try green tea spritzing when moisturising your hair or before you wash your hair. This helped me a lot.

Let me share my hair story. Sorry if it’s long. My hair used to come out in clumps as well. But before knowing why and fixing it I was already on a heatless journey. And when I say heatless, I mean COMPLETELY. Not a little blow dry here and there. Completely. I would wash my hair and flat twist or two strand twist it while it’s wet and let it air dry. This worked fine because I wore wigs. Doesn’t make sense to put any type of heat if I’m covering my hair. Curl definition stayed on point. I did this for 19 months straight. I washed and blow dried twice July 2020 and the length was really shocking. But I think you should try this to avoid further heat damage. Now to the excessive shedding, it drove me crazy until I realized I had Protein Overload. My hair was dry and shedding. I cut out all products that said protein or keratin or biotin. I use a restoring deep conditioner now and I’m back to my heatless journey. Those two times this year was enough. But lately I just been co-washing, no shampoo and my hair has definitely restored. If you can and are willing to wear wigs for a while, definitely cut out heat until you can restore your curls. Your hair is so beautiful. I hope those products you’re using work for you too. Best hair wishes, hun 💛💛💛

Thanks for sharing! Im already pretty much on a heatless journey, I dont blow dry my hair after washing, only put heat on my hair once in a while. I dont know if i have protein overload though because i dont use much products on my hair, just on wash day and then not again for another few weeks. But I will defo look into what I am currently using and see. Thanks xx

@@ShornellStacey same. Products basically only on wash day. I’m lazy like that. But it works 😩🤣😅. If I remember I’ll use my Wild Grow scalp oil. But hair can be difficult sometimes. This is my second time ever having protein overload and this summer was my first time hearing about moisture overload. 😩🤦🏾♀️ But best hair wishes girlie

We have the same hair pattern. No it will still grow out that way. I have not put heat in my hair and it still grows out like that. I think it is just the type of hair texture.

I heard tea rinses works wonders. Naptural85 has a vid on it. You may also just have an inconsistent curl pattern but it looks great to me

Heeey, not sure if you got to the bottom of this but I think you are suffering from one or 2 things. If your hair goes so limp the curl pattern it's either heat damage or hydral fatigue. With heat damage be careful how you dry your hair. With hydral fatigue this can come from over conditioning/ too many protein treatments. Be careful not to use conditioners overnight because they can make your hair elastic to the point of snapping. Maybe restart your hair routine from scratch use a clarifying shampoo every 4 weeks and make sure you only do protein treatments every 4-6 weeks. Doing too much to try to fix it might be making it worse. Good luck 🤗

Thanks so much for this comment!! I think it’s defo heat damage over hydra fatigue. I wash my hair every 4-6 weeks and I don’t deep conditioning so it’s definitely not over conditioning. All my life my hair was blow dried after washing so I know it’s down to all that heat. It’s only in the last year ive stopped applying heat to my hair. I’ve defo seen some improvements recently though 🙏🏾

Maybe try a green tea rinse to reduce shedding and breakage naturally instead of chemicals

Shornell Stacey there’s literally chemicals in everything. Chemicals are not necessarily a bad thing. I think you should do what’s best for you, if you try to avoid chemicals as a whole then our bodies wouldn’t function seeing as they’re full of chemicals lol.

Until you figure out your hairs porosity then you can create a protein and moisture balance regimen. Good luck on your journey ♥

So explain this to me plssss... you don’t put it on your scalp? And how much are you supposed to use at once? Also how often are you supposed to do this?
@nyimajuwara5973 жыл бұрын
Protein treatments are supposed to be used for the hair strands, apply it as it was a deep conditioner/hair mask and you should use it whenever your hair feels super gummy or stretches too much and most people use them every 3-4 months but that depends on your hair and protein sensitivity levels. I hope this helped! 😅
@Sh4z233 жыл бұрын
Conditioners and hair treatments are usually for the hair strand. But shampoo should really be for your scalp.
@lovesharpe64393 жыл бұрын
It really helps with retain length and shedding but you had to keep it in your hair for like 3 or 4 days and it is messy but it’s worth it. I had very little shedding when I use it and may hair usually sheds a lot.
