Can The Dark Horse In the SPB083 Beat The Beloved SPB143?

Thanks for your comparison of these watches. I have the Seiko SPB083J / SBDC065. It's a fantastic watch. I was lucky enough to get it new from an authorised dealer for AUD $899 = US $583 = GPB £460 = EUR €555. Another thing worth mentioning is that the SPB083J case is stainless steel with a super hard coating.

Sbp083 for me.looks more premium and the bracelet is much much more nicer than 143s.

Spb 143 is more every day. But if you were to go on a dive tour into tropical waters or sit on the beach in summertime it would have to be the blue dialled watch!!

About the movement: the spb083 has the 6R17, it is a previus generation movement with 50 hours of power reserve.

Wrong comparison since both watches have different movement..Maybe you can compare SPB153 to SPB143 there the movement is the same. But what to choose a design or comfort?

143 all day. That hour hand on the 083 looks cartoonish and still don't get why any watch company polishes the case of a tool watch.
