You guys are over the top, now CB and MPJ are the problem, Murray plays so incosistent, dribbles a lot,holds the ball, plays hero ball, doesnt bound well with the rest of the team, ignores Jok so many times, but you want to trade everyone around murray for defense, while Murray is the worst defender, unreal, bench Murray and watch this team regain its chemistry and team spirit, Murray has always been a problem, but the media always look for different excuse..

When will NBA teams realize they got to stop packing the paint and guard the 3-point line? I don't believe that teams take too many threes, they're taking those threes because that's what the defense is giving them. When will defenses stop playing like it's 2004 and people are posting up every time down the court. offenses have evolved defenses haven't 😅

While I agree with Dev, I would not phrase it the way he does. KCP was complimentary guy to Jokic both on defense and offense. But I think Jokic also playing with way less energy on defense, because of two things. The offense is solely dependent on him doing mostly hard stuff (previous seasons he could just spray the ball around) and he's not into it, because the GM and some players destroyed his very good team.

In post game interview Jok sad that 'we need to look how to help the team to play better and not look from the team to make us better' that was pointed to Murray, he always wants everyone to look out from him and put him in the best position while he always ball hogs, plays egoistic and plays zero defense, Murray is not a team player

This was a poorly coached game by Malone. He kept the bench on the floor too long in the 2nd quarter when the Cavs went on a run. And, his attempt at using a zone defense in the 2nd half was a joke. Honorable mention for MPJs horrendous defense.

The thing with CB is we always knew that he is good at 1 on 1 defense especially against the stronger guys that KCP had a hard time with, but not getting over screens and the faster guys, which was KCP's strength. It's not like it's new or surprising. Denver should have thought of that when not re-signing KCP, they needed to think of an alternative for that aspect of defense.

I think the point about Christian is interesting and gives credence for a Zach Lavine trade. CB seems more like a wing defender rather than small guards. Which would allow a lavine type player to play the two.

when was the last time Nuggets player sacrifice his body for off charge, what are they doin in training sessions? When was the last time called off charge wheny oposite team is in PNR action, means they are too wide and 1 of the reasons late to recover. Very poor coaching on details

It was the right move moving on from KCP, but they need to find someone who can navigate screens this deadline or in the off season. Jokic’s defense was bad but the amount of space Garland and Mitchell were getting on PnRs made them unguardable. At least KCP can get around them and draw moving screen fouls. Every single defender today (Westbrook has been the best screen navigator by a lot for the season) got cooked on the screens. CB is an amazing isolation defender, but he might be too raw still

I think Jokic is kind of between a rock and a hard place on this team defensively. Do I think his effort could be better? Sure, but with the current personnel and defensive scheme....it's the antithesis of how you want your defense going with Jokic out there. You're exactly right about what they need to do. I'm seeing a lot of comments on social media (particularly the former Twitter) about Jokic's defense and they all act like this is how he's always played defense....which if you actually look at past defensive metrics is demonstrably wrong. He needs to get his arms and hands up more often to at least try to contest, but he's just not going to look good defensively when zero of his teammates can ever keep a guy from getting around them. It's like he's trying to anchor a defense with teammates that are traffic cones on the perimeter.

He has atrocity 34% fg against playoff teams ( 50%+) Malone overused him and made this team plays like freaking All Star game without defense. Russ with his fast chaotic pace fucked up our methodical half court offense. Malone is ignorant . He plays with freaking Jordan🙄 He made terrible line ups. He has bad rotation. Everybody seems to forget the Elephant in the room. The nba is becoming less and less attractive and the reason is just one: 3 point. So if they make a change the 2 currently leading teams Boston and Cleveland will just disappear and teams like Denver Memphis or even LA will become dominant again.
