The Miami Heat were a first round exit before he got there and burdened them with four finals appearances. While at Miami: a. Dwayne Wade would tell you his knees were done after those four years also, he was 32 when they lost to SAS in their last push for the championship. b. Bosh had health issues that ended his career at 31 c. Ray Allen was 38 in 2013 - 14 Back in Cleveland: a. Kyrie did not want to be in his shadow and you draw your own conclusions about his career post Lebron b. Kevin Love was a stat filler, but he was not going to win a championship unless he joined Golden State who I do not think were recruiting him. He was 29 years of age when they played last and has had an injury plagued post Believeland career (22 games played (30 y.o.), 56 games played(31 y.o.), 25 games played (32 y.o.), 74 games played (33 y.o.), 62 games played (34 y.o.) c. JR, Shump and Thompson are complaining, nor is Delly Bottom line, age and timing is a real thing Aaron Gordon is currently 29 and MPJ is 26, Jamal Murray is 27; I would love to see what their post Nikola Jokic career would look like Playing alongside Lebron or any star is hard on your body, Brodie is probably the only other player who can keep up with a guy like LeBron, unfortunately, he was not a good fit

100%. Russ is a ballistic missile with a faulty guidance system. He has all the confidence in the world but that's a curse as much as a blessing because he'll just keep doing the same thing over and over again. His speed and power at the rim has always been his strong suit. Taking advantage of that by just pointing him in the direction of the target is exactly what I'd hoped would happen and it seems Jokic figured that out. In today's no defense league, such a missile can be incredibly effective. I am a bit concerned about relying on him to hit key free throws in the playoffs tho.
@randygraham92629 күн бұрын
Exactly. Last couple of games especially Russ rarely even takes a jumper because he's either scoring in transition or scoring off a cut. Or he's attacking the basket and getting someone else a basket. Having him stand outside waiting to take a 3 or having him play iso for a jumper --is not how to use Russ's talents.
@mygoogleacount29 күн бұрын
even if his game doesn't translate perfectly into the playoffs: Denver arrived very washed at last post-season. Having more bodies to bear the load during RS is already a plus. If his production drops but he keeps being efficient, that's already good enough.

Jokic doesn't complain and blame his teammates every time, this promotes more unity in the locker room and he play the game easy "get the ball pass ball"

The way he reacted when JR did what he did in game 1 against the Warriors says it all. JR didnt actually lose them the game they just didnt get a shot off. He should have told JR the team needed 9 threes from him in OT which was very possible instead of being a baby, he had the whole bench dejected.

didn't get a shot off? JR himself thought they were up and was trying to run out the clock. he had a chance to take a shot and didn't because he thought they were winning.

@@seanseanashar6777 You say they didn't get a shot off like JR just didn't have an opportunity to shoot. JR could have laid the ball in the hoop when he got the rebound. It's one thing if his shot gets blocked or he has no opportunity to throw up a shot, it's another to not even attempt to shoot because you wanted to run out the time.

@@seanseanashar6777 A single outcome can have different justifiable reactions depending on how the outcome was achieved. JR not shooting because he had no opportunity to shoot and not shooting because he wanted to dribble out the clock both result in a shot not getting off. However, in the first case, getting upset with JR cannot be justified while in the second case, every living person would be justified in being upset at him. You want to make it sound like Lebron's reaction was unjustifiable when JR's actions themselves couldn't be justified. With your logic, if it came out that JR was paid money to throw at the end of the game and that's why he didn't take a shot, you'd still say Lebron was wrong for being upset at JR.

I've been a Lakers fan and have lived in SoCal for my entire 37 year life and I love Westbrook... Thought the Nuggets got uh diamond in the rough! Joker elevates his teammates while LeBRONZ diminishes his because of his selfish play. He's uh virus that kills players talent around him! ESPN isn't a reliable source for sports information. The show has too many fan boys. It is interesting the way Westbrook was viewed when he was with the Lakers. Westbrook was blamed for the team's poor performance. Skip, Shannon, Kendrick, and Smith were the leading voices. I hope he can have a chance to compete for a championship so the critics can eat crow.

Of course Jokic has been better then LeBron since 2020 until now. Jokic won a chip without a single all star and deserved the last 4 MVPs. Jokic barely misses any games has off the charts efficiency is quick to make full court passes and he's been a top rebounder with a great free throw and 3 points shooter. Jokic has been the best player in the league but he doesn't get coverage like LeBron or other superstars.

You forgot the one important detail. Before trade term even started, Joke was asked who he wants, and he said: "I want Russ." The first time in Joke's carrier he actually asked from Denver organisation for someone by the name. And everyone was saying it will be total disaster before season started. And it was disaster even after the season started, Russ was catastrophe on the floor first 4 games. And no one seen anything good in him. There was even talks that Denver front office should resign or be fired instantly, because both Šarić and Westrbrook are unplayable... Then 3 months later, two man game by 2 triple double machines NBA never ever seen before, so good that even hard core Nuggets fans are asking for Russ to be standard starter with Joke. And in last 10 games Russ was constantly second or third best player on the team, as washed out vampire with minimal veteran contract in the team with Joke + 3 max contract guys...

@zlatkojerkovic9456Ай бұрын
When you watch Jokic it looks like basketball, players are moving, and something is being setup for someone to score. When you watch Lebron, half of the teams is standing around and not moving, 1 person is setting a pick and it's very boring. This is why non iso guys don't do good with Lebron. K Love's game went from a very versatile PF, to a pick and pop guy, samething with Bosh. He's been effective at winning, but only when he has that 2nd guy that can do the same thing. As for Russ, It's sweet to see him in this position. I thought he was too much of a ballhog on OKC with Durant, but really it was just the terrible offense that they ran, the non Durant years was just pushing the stats with all the ball he had. Now he's just flowing in the offense and it's beautiful to watch, because he makes the right play almost every single time. His energy and passion is just out of this world and he's always had it but here you just see it on display and because its in the flow It's even better.

Lebron extends his career by feasting off the high frequency energy of others. He is literally an energy vampire that has no creativity and openness. He tries to force things instead of just flowing through situations like water. How he runs an offense and his life shows how he thinks from a very small box. Jokic is the exact opposite.
