jets should be pushing for a higher draft pick. Winning would change nothing except to end Miami's playoffs dream. Petty victories pale to the real benefit of getting a better pick.

You're right....but the last season the Jets made it was in 2010 and the last season the Sabres made it was 2010-11....so by number of seasons - yes.....but by the calendar, the Sabres have been in the playoffs more recently.

Good point. WTF is going on with the Sabres?? Through nearly all of that stretch the NHL has offered two more playoff spots than the NFL (8 vs 6, now 7). Buffalo has never been near as bad in any previous era of theirs! Damn it Buffalo (Sabres of course!), get into those playoffs and break this tie with the Nauseating Green!

endorphin rush…people like to be associated with WINNING the problem is that the jets can in a super bowl next year and half the fans will still be unable to explain how their life is better because of it!

Dude. Listen up. Winning football games DOES accomplish a lot. It accomplishes what a team is supposed to DO! This is why you play football games. To win. Nothing is more important than winning NOW! Back in the 70s when guys were barely making enough money just to pay for a themselves, a house and a family with one or two cars instead of 10, players would talk about jockeying for playoff positioning. One group of players (I forget the team) was talking about if they lost the last game of the season they would actually match up against an easier playoff opponent. They then related to the interviewer how the thought of tanking a game even for a better playoff matchup disgusted them and not one of them would agree to the idea. The thought of tanking is abhorrent to every true sports fan. If you are rooting for your team to intentionally slack, cut corners, hold back your best players that can play in favour of lesser ones (just to lose) then you ARE NOT a sports fan. You are something else that YT won't let me say here!
