I used to have a 10400f paired with my rtc 3080 and i did get the same fps as you in cyberpunk with the same settings (almost) and resolution....which makes me wonder how would it compare now with the i5 13500 cpu. Probably a little bit better.

Cpu and ram matters a lot for ray tracing. Zen2 vs alderlake is a huge difference with same gpu.

I have my rtx 3080 with an i7 12700k and before i got the i7 12700k i had it paired with an i7 9700k and the performance boost from the i7 12700k is brilliant. The ipc increase on the Alder Lake cpus are really nice. I was shocked actually to see such a big difference i was expecting 5-10 fps not 15-20 fps depending on the game.

Nice! I just got a 3080 10gb FE and wanting to try it in 4k w/13700k. The numbers look good. I can tweak my gpu and get better fps using just high or medium settings. Also itching to try DLSS w/RT. Wasn't a big deal with my AMD gpu's. But it is nice to see my 3080 is no push over. Thanks~! Cheers, mate! :D

Try undervolting it, I dropped nearly 100w dropping it to 0.875mv solid at 1840mhz runs smoother and runs cooler too.

I can get a used EVGA 3080 FTW3 for $500 CAD ($375 USD) from a co-worker. Should I pull the trigger or go with a 4070 Ti? Is DLSS3 with the price jump for 1440P 90FPS+ gaming?

Depends on the games you'll be playing, but for me the 3080 at 1440p is more than enough performance in pretty much anything I throw at it. DLSS3 would be nice if you want to max out newer games with Ray tracing

In some cases it can cause better or worse performance, but not by much either way.

@@OutlawBenchmarks I think ur CPU is the bottleneck here, the RTX 3080 is a superb 2K gaming card. I own a gaming cafe and monitors are LG 32GK650s, 1440p monitors VA panel. Processor is i5 12600KF and with B550M mobo and MSI RTX 3080 10 GB , I am able to get 72 FPS average at 1440p psyco graphics+ RT Highest. I feel that is a huge thing . Also I still have not put DLSS on balanced, DLSS is also on quality mode. I also have a Ryzen 5 5600x+ 6900 XT PC and to be fair despite the lower price the RTX card is superior, sure the 3080 is not value for money, but I feel its almost as powerful as a 6900 XT which is crazy as this is not even a Ti

Whit FSR 2.1 RX 6800 XT can handle two. For excample you can make a video comparison on FSR 2.1 in Dying Light 2 Compare vs DLSS (Leatest version of 2 series) RX 6800 XT vs RTX 3080

Why rtx 3080 eats 240 watts in cyberpunk 2077? I got 340 watts, but performance is also better... (Same settings) Is yours rtx 3080 downvolted?

It is undervolted. Though, the performance difference is probably due to the CPU bottleneck

i have this exact card paired with a 5800x3d and 16gbs of cl16 3200mhz ram in cyberpunk 1080p with all settings set to max (exept anistropy which is on 4) it runs at a solid 60fps most of the time with dips to the low 50s and *very* rarely to the high 40s this is with max textures and psycho raytracing enabled, so all things considered not bad at all.

Tbh you can make minecraft run over 140fps on rtx 3080 with ray tracing. It's just him not using any 3rd party programs (like optifine). Also I think that the CPU wasn't good enough. But I'm not sure so don't take it 100% seriously.

I used my i9-12900k/3080/32gbddr5 combo for 1080p raytracing and it was fantastic. I would use 4k every once in a while (mostly Subnautica) and it did fine. Loved that card, saving for a 4090 now!

Pretty silly. Skip the 4k series to get better return on your investment. Your 3080 is too close to the performance of the 4k series to even think of buying new.

​@@bobert866 The 4090 is pulling 100+ FPS on Cyberpunk at 4K Ultra settings. I barely managed 80 at 1080p. I'd agree if I was upgrading to a 4080 16Gb, but a 4090 is no contest.

If the 4090 is this good and a 3080 series system is fine for 1080p, the 50 series would be even better, and I'm already happy with what I had (I recently sold my setup actually, funnily enough). a 4090 would be my goal if I was upgrading this time around, but he's right. @bobert866

The RAM could be a problem to. 32gb of RAM is the sweet spot for your performance in these new graphics card and a good CPU combined with that the RTX 3080 will reach its full potential. It's amazing to think that the other components that work with your graphics card can bottleneck your graphics card because the components are too weak.

@@StormRaid417 I have 16GB LPX at 3000MHz, 8700K stock, Tuf 3080. I get over 100 FPS in games at ultra or next one down without having to tweak the life out of specific settings. With DLSS (like Metro Exodus Enhanced) I get 150 FPS steady, with Ray Tracing high and hairworks on etc People talk about bottleneck, it's entirely irrelevant unless you are going for the very last drop of performance. In general, you just get great gaming performance.
