Can the San Quentin 1 handle the Whistler Bike Park?

I am so happy I bought that exact same one. Color and everything! I’ve been taking it on all kinds of trails and it is very much a capable bike. The thick 2.6 x 27.5 give the bike so much maneuverability and traction, and the bike geometry is more comfortable for going down rugged terrain. For $1099, it was one of the best purchases I’ve made!

I wonder if anyone had upgraded the forks and created a hardtail mullet out of this thing. Might be cool with a 29 up front to help smooth things out. Kinda curious, seems like it would make a fun bike even better. The forks are probably the one thing ide love to upgrade on my SQ2. Be a really fun trail bike. I love hardtails as for the simplicity and many trails local to me you don’t need anything crazy. But a 29’ front would be make it a hot seller (marin are you listening? 😂)

Hello there, I am 175 cm and I am not sure about the size. The official website recommends a Large but i think that information is wrong. Could you please confirm the sizing since i think the official measurements are off?

Hello - we recommend a large for your height for models with 27.5" wheels, like the San Quentins. how tall are you? are you riding the medium or small? asking because I really want the 2022 San Quentin 1 in the same paint scheme but only mediums are left. my girl is 5'4" and I know everything says she needs a small but no small in that color. thanks for taking the time to respond

@@marin_bikes thanks for the rapid response! we will go by a shop in San Francisco tomorrow to fit her on the actual bike, San Quentin 1 2022 version with the cotton candy paint. They have both sizes in stock so we're definitely taking one home tomorrow

Is it possible to get the San Quentin 1 and upgrade to the marzocchi bomber z2 fork on the San Quentin 3 for the extra travel down the track? Or is it incompatible. Thanks 2023 model I’m talking about thanks.

Hi - as with all of our bikes, you can run a replacement fork that is no more than 10mm longer axle-crown than the OEM fork without voiding your frame warranty, which *generally* corresponds to 10mm longer travel. See your dealer if you are unsure.
