Seahawks biggest need: a new general manager
@ryanrichardson9915Ай бұрын
John and staff haven’t had a “good offseason” in over a decade now. Always passing on sure things, or as close to sure things as you could hope for, instead trading out of a spot or trying to outsmart the room with picks like Malik McDowell and LJ Collier! He could have drafted Budda Baker (like everyone thought they should) and had a perennial All-Pro for a decade. But he thought a Safety duo of Marquis Blair and Tedric Thompson would be better than Baker and Rapp! Baker and Rapp are still starting safeties in the league! Not picking Baker cost all the picks you spent on Diggs and Adams and changed the trajectory of the franchise! Or the brilliant decision to draft Penny over Nick Chubb! A WAC running back before the best RB in the SEC. Or drafting Brooks in front of Queen! Or drafting a Nickel corner at 6 over a dominant DT who has been a beast from day 1. And…the utter lack of ability to draft decent O-lineman. Yes, Cross has been good, but that is it. A decade, and Cross is it. How did he pass on Creed Humphrey??
@AB-he8ofАй бұрын
First of all Jalen Carter has not been dominant or as dominant as Byron Murphy nor Devon Witherspoon. You can’t hit on every draft pick that’s an anomaly. So much crying and negativity.

Great segment guys thanks for all the insights and updates on the 2025 prospects

I haven’t watched the video yet. I know the problems with the O line but I really think in the draft MM wants his guy at DT up front to get HIS defense going. DT is strong at the top so I could see Graham, Grant, Walker or Nolen. Just a hunch.
@Ocean_NativeАй бұрын
BMurph was the first Dt taken last year. We can’t do that twice years in a row with such a bad OL.
@iron_bisonАй бұрын
@@Ocean_Nativewe could. The dline sucks and murohy is not a world beater. Dre jones should be a cut. Hankins out. Reed out if contract. BIg cat set to make 29 million for slightly better play than Reed.

Graham's the only one worth taking early. The others are overrated by draft media. TJ Sanders is DT2 for me
@mattsimmonds9138Ай бұрын
@@robstatonfootball I feel Mike will want graham depending where we end up in the draft. And I agree he is by far the best DT option
@iron_bisonАй бұрын
@@mattsimmonds9138i think we should be considering LB. Ravens put a huge emphasis on LB and high picks or trades for lb.

John Randle is a good example that Haynes should follow...he changed himself into a HoF player, I think Mike Mac is telling him, "show me the money" which is a fair way to look at this situation...not saying Haynes is JR but the attitude to change oneself...
@heyjim52Ай бұрын
So far the Seahawks have missed on several players certainly too many , linebackers, O lineman , and possibly the D line as well. Murphy's a good pick but everyone else I don't know they gave up draft picks do they have enough to get some guys in here that can do the job.
@SeahawksForeverDanViensАй бұрын
The upcoming draft is widely considered a weak class. Improvement next year will have to likely come through free agency and the development of young players already on the roster.
@frankj6631Ай бұрын
Christian Haynes was a 3rd rd pick... Let's calm down and give the kid a year. And, I totally agree the Oline has been neglected, also I hated the Adams trade it was one of the worst trades I've ever seen a team make, i mean two 1st rd picks for any player is crazy and especially for a safety at that...😮.. but, this is our Hawks they've made those mistakes over & over.. Percy Harvin, Jimmy Graham, you can even go back to the Holmgren era with the Deion Branch trade... and the whole trade away the 1st rd pick delusion that was the Hawks draft strategy is showing with the depth of this team talented as it maybe it's still lacking those top guys...
@MetalDragon5745Ай бұрын
You're not going to break the bank for Jones because you gave up a 4rth round pick. It's a 4rth not a 1rst round pick so i don't agree they will be forced to sign him for that reason. They are extremely thin at ILB and i think it's far more likely they resign him because they need him not because of a 4rth round pick. So we'll have to agree to disagree on that entire premise Rob.

Why was he bashing earnest jones? He was a stud on the rams and they just couldn’t afford him and went to the titans then going to the Seahawks he has been worth more than a 4th roundpick

Dan or Rob, can you tell us why we will be in poor cap shape? I don't get it. We have no franchise quarterback, and the team isn't exactly littered with all pros.
@Richard-il6wcАй бұрын
Don't worry. We are not going to be in poor cap shape. John is gonna clear up cap space for his new Coach, and it's gonna be like night and day. I promise. You'll see. The roster will get turned over VERY aggressively.
