When two beaver siblings get caught up in their rough play, an eagle spots the perfect opportunity to make them its next meal. However, a mother’s sharp instincts detect the signs of danger and she warns her children to quickly hide before it’s too late.
A common eagle trick is to change flying direction as if they have given up on their prey, then quickly turn around when their target lets its guard down. Decelerating at 200mph, not even a cheetah could outrun a flying eagle on a mission, so is there any hope for these young beavers?
See how animals survive and thrive in their natural habitats in The Alps, part of Wild Europe, all this weekend on National Geographic Wild UK.
Available to watch in the UK on Sky (165), Virgin Media (264), BT (318), TalkTalk (318) & TV Player
