They set up cameras where animals are known to live and then wait for ages to get a shot. Nature documentaries will shoot hundreds of hours of footage over months/years and cut it down to maybe an hour or two for the viewers at home.

I believe they have cameras set up here and there recording. No one holding them. Plus there are also some being recorded by people from a distance. Then they take footage from different videos and put them together to make one that is an actual scenario but never all happened in this one sequence. They do this all the time.

This was my favorite video by far! Such cute animals, would've been a shame if the mother got taken. We all know they probably wouldn't have survived without her. Nature can be a cold blooded place.
