My setup gets so dusty, even if I throw towel on it between use. That brush is brilliant! I relate to your search for "the brain" and ideal set up. It's a fun hobby but that dust, labeling and organizing cables and swapping gear in and out, well, that's ongoing. I like your set up. You've got a great groove happening. Thanks for sharing this!!

Hello Sir! Thanks for shedding light on the RK008. I personally started using a Toraiz squid as the brain of my set up but so far, o think I’ve only scratch the surface. Prior to using the Squid I was using an MPC Live II for that purpose. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips with the community. 🙏

19:00 if I recall correctly unless they patched it we actually can’t use the mpc’s looper live except if it’s the clock host, nbd for a lot of folks unless using an erm multiclock

Hi, I am actually digging the sequencer on my TR-909. It does take some effort, but it CAN trigger entire loops / samples and not just short waves. It’s also great for quick basslines, donks and FX. But I agree it can not be the brain on its own
@AnalogKitchen
@AnalogKitchen Жыл бұрын
Very cool!I wish it could be though. How do you go about it as a trigger source? Please advise!
@TexHex82
@TexHex82 Жыл бұрын
@@AnalogKitchen with pleasure man, I am a big fan of your work! 909 can only transmit over 1 midi channel but can do 16 voice polyphony! So it can be handy to control a sampler where you assign up to 16 samples to 16 notes… you can also do it with any synth or layer several of them on 1 midi channel by using 16 buttons as a keyboard. The easiest though is to use with a sampler - if the sample length is equal to or is a multiple of your bar length at given bpm then the only thing you have to do is assign each of the 16 samples to each of the 16 buttons on the 909) and it will run perfectly in sync plus have that 909 shuffle. I use it for parallel syncing to streamline midi routing in my system. Let’s say 909 is synced by midi or din to mmt-8 or rk008 in your case but it also runs 16 voices on its own from another instrument or sampler

31:50 Daar had je vroeger die Multiclock voor toch? Vroeg me al af waarom je die hebt weggedaan. Kan de RK006 ook per midi out de clock latency compenseren zoals de Multiclock dat kan (POS/NEG)?
@AnalogKitchen
@AnalogKitchen 11 ай бұрын
The multiclock is er nog altijd hoor. Nu even een andere setup. De 006 hoeft niet te compenseren want het is puur een midi recorder. Das net iets anders als de multiclock. Die stuur verschillende clock dingen aan. De 006 neemt nootjes op (en kan ook clock uitsturen)
@mauriziomauricone

@@AnalogKitchen Klopt, de RK008 is de MM8 maar ik bedoelde de RK006, die kleine programmerbare transparante midi-hub, kan die wel clock compenseren?

Can this record MPE information? For example can I record a sequence into the RK 008 from a Linnstrument and have it recognize and record the MPE modulation?
@RetrokitsDev
@RetrokitsDev Жыл бұрын
It can record any midi channel on a single track so it is possible - but - having MMT8 compatible memory blocks of 64K it will fill up pretty fast if you start recording MPE

Hi, it looks pretty awesome, just want to make sure. Lets say if on my synthesizer i play with the reverb, filters, lfo, etc , it will record and play back all those midi cc automation changes?? Thanks
@RetrokitsDev
@RetrokitsDev Жыл бұрын
@@romi2910001 yes it can record all this, you can do it in realtime just recording and twisting knobs but you can also use the steptime edit and stack cc’s with specific timing.

I just realized while you were using the claps in write mode- if there are 16 steps, then like 16bit there would be 65,536 possible rhythms, right? I kinda never thought about that before lol. Wait, theres 3 states in the 909 right? - so is that 3^16= 43,046,721 possible combinations?!?! Am i wrong, it's been a while since Maths meant anything but a Makenoise module🙃 Your videos man!🔥😭🤯Fr, thank you for every single one🙌
