There's an interesting interaction with Spirit of the forest thorn explosion ability and the map balanced. Since all 8 tracks meet in the middle, the explosion easily 1 shots bads, including the insides. I think it would be cool to do a showcase on that Also, keep up the good videos, I'm always happy to see new uploads :)

The only problem is the ability is unlocked by Monkey Knowledge, so it's useless in chimps

Seeing wonky strategies on expert maps is so jarring. You’d think a less skilled player would be too afraid to attempt CHIMPS on expert maps.

It might just be one of their first attempts. It's not like you complete all other chimps modes, arrive on an expert map, and instantly know an optimal solution.

it's part of the learning, whether you started off failing in beginner maps or in expert maps doesn't make a difference, if anything we should be encouraging them or giving tips

Some people find their own ways to beat harder stuff that are unconventional. Maybe they never learn “the correct way” or better strategies. I often brute force stuff like this and especially as someone on the casual side… I just like using a bunch of different things for fun. Sometimes I get lucky and complete harder maps… but typically not. Also to one of the replies. They are just making a statement about what they see. Sure it might sound kind of pretentious but I don’t doubt they find it really odd. Telling someone to go away or making them seem like the “bad guy” is ironically doing what you’re “trying to prevent”. It’s not a personal attack to think its unexpected for people trying something too hard for them. if you believe them to be “not at that level yet”.

These videos really reminds me a series I remember seeing a long time ago on youtube of viewers submitting pokemon games with "softlocked" saves and the youtube would show off his knowledge of the game and recover the save. Though, the major difference is intention, the viewers were trying to stump the youtuber.

@@misspotato813 Currently he makes the most torturous softlocks possible, several of them using the same setup of a 1hp pokemon 1 step away from fainting to poison, leading to you getting trapped on Pacifilog, one of them required getting a jackpot from the lottery just to use the Master Ball on a random Surfing pokemon.

I ended up submitting one of my runs, I wonder if ISAB would call me out for my dumb strat. I consider myself a fairly decent player, I can beat pretty much anything if you give me enough time, but I'm very stubborn in my own ways. If I find a stupid strat, I'm going all in until it works, but the run I submitted I had some trouble getting it to work.

I honestly feel like the first submission in this video is someone who tried to copy most of SJB's run and only made a few changes to it. Same map, Rosalia, ace, weird engineer, and especially the two 0-0-0 SPIKE FACTORIES at the back... at least the overall strategy had to be inspired by that SJB vid
