Ben, you absolutely don't need to keep the pause for social media. No one is following you because of it. Your swing looks incredible with or without it. We want to see you succeed. You don't need a "gimmick" to be big in this space. Especially with all the recent collabs. Keep it if it's your best path forward. But if it's holding you back in any way, ditch it. Literally no one will fault you.

I think he has to, at least until he can cement himself further, same reason DoD King has a following, lots of good golfers on KZbin golf, Ben for better or worse has to keep the pause. Unless he begins to practice really hard to go pro.

Eric Cogorno has been such a great instructor in the KZbin space for so so long - and without fail, his way of getting to the "why" or the "foundation" of the issue is second to none, he has such a great way of explaining things simply, and in an order that builds the whole picture. Amazing video.

This video was super entertaining. I've been developing a new swing over the last three days just from things i picked up off KZbin. And this video will complete the metamorphosis.. Prior to the last couple days i was super inconsistent and didnt have a swing that i could feel fluid with. It was a random Centripetal force video on tiktok that gave me an epiphany. My current swing feels like my arms and body rotate together for 20° then i feel my arm swing under my armpit. After that i lock my elbow in feel the club head push out and away, feel my inside shoulder drop and envision a hollow circle on an axis, when i get to the point of contact i imagine the ball was inside the circle and was released, contining the circle with my club. Been dead straight ever since, even thin, fat, off balance, still straight just less distance. Works with chipping and driving too. Jon Daily said "use the swing you use with your favorite club for every club"

Hey Ben, I just finished my first range session where I paused… for the whole session. It’s crazy, I was so out of balance and alignment that I couldn’t even start the downswing. If I remember correctly, you said only 0.1% of golfers have the same problem as Ben. I’m completely new to golf but I’m pretty sure I have the same problem as Ben. I’m incapable of hitting a pull. All my shots are pushes. Some go straight, most are weak push-cuts, and I hit some push-draws. I think I’m too laid off at the top and the club gets behind me in transition. And I’m also scared of taking a divot for some reason; I almost always pick the ball off the ground. I took a lesson at my golf club and the pro gave me the exact drill you gave Ben at the end. Albeit, this drill was 100x harder for me than it was for Ben. One problem I have is I don’t know how to hit a pull shot without coming over the top and hitting a weakfish fade. Is it possible I have a similar problem to Ben, or did the golf pro misdiagnose me?

I like brysons theory of swing change , if you don’t get results the first 6 strikes , move on try something else , if you have to do drills for weeks and not getting immediate results … move on
@choide198 ай бұрын
i like bryson a lot and i like a lot of what he says, but that’s kind’ve ridiculous. ask almost any other pro golf player on the planet and they’ll tell you that at one point or another, they had to make a swing change that resulted in poorer ball striking for a short period of time because it turns out we’re not robots and often we can’t make a perfect change in 6 swings. if someone was coming way way over the top and slicing it, and i had them start coming way more on plane, and they shanked the first 6, should they just keep coming way over the top and slicing it? of fuckin course not, they should go home and practice it and in two weeks, they’ll be hitting a baby draw with a much better goddamn golf swing
@brandondodd8848 ай бұрын
If you watch Bryson when he says that, he’s usually instructing. Basically, he gives the “student” a feel and in a few balls it isn’t clicking, then he gives them another feel or another approach toward the same thing. Which is sort of his point. There’s different feels for getting on plane. Not everyone can adapt to any single feel, or method. If you’re trying to do something and the feel you’re using isn’t working, then it’s time to try a different approach to the same result. It doesn’t mean give up and stay ridiculously outside if you’re trying to stop coming OTT.
