Tbf batteries do heat up quite a bit when charging or discharging at rapid rates. Using your phone at max clocks would cause it to discharge fast and keeping the battery cool would help keep other things cool. There have also been quite a few devices over the years that I've seen that sink their heat into back panel of the phone so cooling it even a little would help. It getting over the CPU/GPU would be best but as compact as phones are I doubt it matters too much.

thanks for the video, the result suprised me, to be honest. One little note, just to honour the science and to add something (not important in this context, but why not xD ), what transfers is not the "coolness" but the heat. Cool does not exist "per se", it is just lack of temperature (temperature can be seen as the energy of the atoms or molecules you are measuring, their internal movement), so what happens is that this absorbs that energy from the device, so the soc temp goes down as this get the heat.

Somone not knowing shit about peltier elemts reviewing a device including one. great. So its simple. The peltier element introduces ADDITIONAL heat into the system (system meaning everything that needs to be cooled). since the phone being at 30 or 60° makes no difference, just using a bigger heatsink instead of the peltier would be better. Peltier elements are a very inefficient way of cooling, else it would long ago become mainstream. But every PC Hardware using peltier elemts failed, cuz as long as you dont want/need to go sub zero, there is literally no benefit of using one mounting the cooler directly to the cpu instead of having a peltier inbetween is better and more efficient
@franciscoayon94703 ай бұрын

@jlmpc8733 I mean,isn't the peltier what's making it cold,ain't like it's the fan or heatsink doing it,those 2 things keep the peltier cool
@jlmpc87333 ай бұрын
@@franciscoayon9470 ok, the peltier has one side that heats up, and one side that cools down. and there is a delta. E.g. the cold side is always 10°c colder than the hot side. (its not actally a constnant delta in °c, but in thermal energy, but we keep it simple). This heat created by the peltier needs to be carried away from the peltier by the heatsink. So that poor little heatsink has to cool the ~10w from the Chip on the phone and the ~5-10w from the peltier. So instead of 10w, the heatload is 15-20w. In bursts, lets say for one or 2 benchmark runs, the peltier might be better, but when you game for like an hour or so, the same size heatsink will be performing better without the peltier. Peltier elements are not magic. They use is for when something has to go sub ambient. There is a reason all coolers in Laptops and PC with peltier elements failed. its just not viable exept in niches, where you want stuff to be sub zero. You can watch der8auers Videos on it if you want

It would if you use the backplate with metal heatsink that JSAUX sells.
@trbdann24 ай бұрын
Not really, I do have the metal backplate from Jsaux. 1: just getting that outta the way : the SD doesnt thermal throttle, so it won't improve perofrmance. 2: you make a good point about noise. But, a thermo electric cooler, overall, creates more heat. And that device has a fan.... So whatever few RPMs lower the SD fans might run at, ever so slightly-maybe lowering it's noise, will be more than overtaken by the noise of the TEC device. In my experience it makes no discernable difference, or actually MORE noise. Because that little cooler is full send 100% all the time when you plug it in. Constant small fan at 100%.

U know what would be cool and better than a cooler, a cooling case which uniformly cools the whole phone from the back except the cameras and for that to have some sort of usb cable so that it cools better

A full Copper+Aluminium case that covers the entire phone is already quite heavy especially with the cooler attached, but nevertheless it does works better... I experience almost no fps drop while playing genshin impact, meanwhile without the case & cooler my game would have extreme lagg & random distorted noises when fighting.

How to make gpu clock speed to maximum? I have s24 ultra
@ChUbaid72 күн бұрын
@@darkzs3126 well according to my experience with s21 you have to root it and change gpu governer to static it will and set max and lowest gpu frequency but still it wont do nothing cuz kernel is the problem you need a custom kernel optimized for gaming

So more effective will be if there is mini fan, radiator and airflow inside the phone itself opening side holes only when reach temp above 30C🤷♂️

It's cool and all (pun intended) but what you do when you want to use a controller either being a Xbox controller with a clip for the phone or if you have something like the Gamesir G8 Galileo? Will that impact the life of the SoC as well as the performance of it?
