Am just getting started turning. See you went traditional gouges ave went carbide would be interested here your thoughts. And also really botal toat? You should lightly coat your tools with some kin of preservative if you're going to store them outside to prevent rust.

totally! i usually throw some paste wax on my tools. just a bit of neglect at the end of the season. i ended up sanding it and waxed it before turning things.
